you set my soul alight - KittySpark1es, on 01/10/2009, -2/+15Muse is incredible live. If you ever get the chance to see them, do it.

- TitoMB345, on 01/10/2009, -3/+12Dugg because of Muse.
- the2989, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7I'm waiting for when they discover the next level-up in the black hole spectrum. If there's regular black holes and supermassive black holes, then there's bound to be some place in the universe where galaxies are smashing and large numbers of supermassive black holes are merging to form something fearsome and huge. It'd be cool if it was a whole new phenomenon that makes black holes look like a typical star based off energy alone.
- superal1394, on 01/10/2009, -1/+8Come on dude the lyrics are simple...
- juliandunbar11, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6origin of symmetry was better.

- pox05, on 01/10/2009, -2/+8muse!
- weeFred, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Absolution >> Showbiz >> Black Holes >> Origin >> Hullabaloo
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5Now I get why Muse said Glaciers melting in the dead of night... when I first heard I was like WTF cool but WTF still, now I know and MUSE is even more awesome.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5Where the hell did you pull that "fact" from?
Black holes do not emit xrays or gamma rays or any other form of light. They are not "Actually quite brite"
They are called black holes for a reason. Because they are so powerful and have such a massive amount of gravity that not even light is fast enough to escape it.
And since Xrays are a form of light they too are unable to escape.
The only light around a black hole is that from matter that is being sucked into a black hole but hasn't yet crossed the line of no return for light. - weeFred, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4I've seen them 3 times, but I'm most proud of being on the HAARP dvd for 3.8 seconds during knights.
- TheInformer, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4That's nothing. I discovered supermassive black hole on the street corner at 1am wearing spandex.
- LiquidChimera, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4The Great Attractor, perhaps.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Attractor - PizzaEagle, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4They are very muse-ically talented
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4They need do away with instain galaxee
- MorganMghee, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4hands up, who DIDN'T think there were supermassive black holes billions of light years away?
- vsujohn2, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3They're comin right for us!
- superal1394, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3And the superstars are sucked into the supermassive.
- Table16, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3They aren't bad.
- PizzaEagle, on 01/10/2009, -5/+8how is blak hoel formed?
how star get epxloded? - ceredron, on 01/09/2009, -3/+6in other news: everything bright physicists expect to exist in our universe exist upon further study.
- akaakc, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3How the hell do they find this *****?
"Hey, dude, you think that's a supermassive black hole?" - DrunkRobot, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3On a side note, the hole has officially been named "Ann Coulter" :)
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/10/2009, -1/+4*false pretenses
- erkokite, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Many boffins died to bring you this information.
- Okodro, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2I think what you are refering to is Hawking Radiation, which has not yet been proven. Currently we use star mapping by observing star paths to figure out where the blackholes are(I know there is a better term for this but i just can't think of it right now), the dust and gas clouds that surround blackholes are to dense right now with our current level of technology for us to actually be able to observe a blackhole directly.
- Table16, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Agreed, Absolution kicks ass.
- Premier, on 01/10/2009, -1/+3"The findings more than double the total number of black holes known to exist at that distance"
From 1 to 2? 5 to 10? 25 to 50?
details please - TheMoniker, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Anyone? Beuller?
- CreamySmooth, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2All these space articles make me realize how freaking small we are.
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Damn you all beat me to it! okay
OOOooooooOO...oOOoOOooOOOO....aaaaaAAAaaaAAA... you set my soul alight - miralize, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tugqHunwDA
- St0neman, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2I'm working on a USB black hole but so far I've only gotten membership to the republican party. Still, isn't it the same?
- Table16, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2I read the first three words and that's all I thought about. I didn't care about the rest haha
- superal1394, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2Oops, my bad :X
- teodz, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2i hate the movie Twilight for including the song on their soundtrack :(
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2That's the first intelligent thing I've read yet. Exactly! Let's make a plan to build a ship that can outrun this thing, stock it full of food and fuel and hot chicks. Obviously we'll need Dr. Strangelove to help with consulting on the perpetuation of the species and that will leave room for roughly 200 people on the ship. We can draw straws and the winners get to ride and procreate; the rest of you will have to stay behind. This could work, but I would feel a little guilty about leaving the rest of you guys behind. I'd get over it over a Swedish bikini team sandwich though. That'll cheer you up.
