- inactive, on 09/12/2009, -2/+10thanks for description man. :) nice pic this time.
- arunforce, on 09/12/2009, -2/+8I wish I could see this view daily... But damn companies don't give a damn about light pollution.
- dlan4327, on 09/12/2009, -1/+6The tree & grass almost seem like a painting. Like Van Gogh, only not stylized. Beautiful stuff.
- MacVogt, on 09/12/2009, -0/+3That sky sure is beautiful, but now way that is the actual landscape lit only by the sky. If you look at it, the light source is coming from the side. I wish that was real so bad though.
- txcrew, on 09/12/2009, -3/+6Amazing

- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 09/12/2009, -0/+2Neither does the average person.
- Taiyoryu, on 09/12/2009, -1/+3Mouseover to see outlines of constellations.
- lyzjacob, on 09/12/2009, -2/+3So beautiful I never see this night sky before.
- SpykerSpeed, on 09/12/2009, -1/+2I'm gonna miss summer.
- hellengineer, on 09/12/2009, -0/+1nice spamming dude, sure do like to get ***** up.
- Exekutor, on 09/14/2009, -0/+1With a full moon or artificial illumination you won't get that quality in the sky. It is very likely to be a composite of multiple shots, or maybe the landscape is lit by flash used as curtain.
- ABoringTuna, on 09/12/2009, -2/+3Beautiful. I miss this type of view ever since I moved to the city.
- johncinaa, on 09/12/2009, -1/+2Excellent fantastic mind blowing . The nature is best. ::)(::
- MacVogt, on 09/13/2009, -0/+1Can't be, the color temperature of the moon is very blue. Apparently, that landscape is artificially lit by the Astronomy Town.
- macmcraeart, on 09/12/2009, -1/+2it is amazing that we are a part of a cluster of stars in an edge on spiral galaxy. and how forever to us is a normal star's life cycle. too bad our time here is so limited.
- jon30041, on 09/12/2009, -1/+2Beautiful picture, but I think the most impressive thing about it is the town it was taken in. Read about Astronomy Town in the links there. Really amazing.
- lurcherman, on 09/12/2009, -1/+2Excellent.
- benbrooks101, on 09/12/2009, -0/+1Ever consider that the other light source is the moon?
- Bobby1978, on 09/12/2009, -2/+2Nothing like gazing the stars and munching on pistachios.
- Angostura, on 09/12/2009, -1/+1I'm a London lad, so no starry nights for me. But the family and I have just got back from 3 weeks in the Northern Territories visiting Australian national parks. Sure the scenery, wildlife and walking is spectacular. But for me one of the highlights was putting the kids to be in the camper van and then sitting outside every night with the wife just starring at the sky for a couple of hours. The milky way was amazingly bright, the shooting stars were great.
But the weird thing is, in 3 weeks I didn't spot a single satellite - and I can spot them very easily over here.
Anyone goit any ideas why there aren't any? I assumed the LEOS like Iridium would be visible from any point on the earth.
