There's apparently an area in northern Western Oz called the Bungle Bungles ( http://www.google.com/search?q=Bungle+Bungles ) that's supposed to make Monument Valley look like a glorified rockery.

Here's the kicker: Western Oz is so damn big & empty that the Bungle Bungles weren't even discovered until the 1960s!
