Dude, give it a wash every now and then. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+24and here i was thinking this was an article about man-seed.
- swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -6/+27the very atomic stuff out of which we ourselves are made? You mean 'jesus dust', right?
- CletusJones, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16I have a towel in my bedroom full of The Substance of Life. Its leaning against my nightstand.
- diblasio, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Way to put things in context. :P
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Good news. There isn't.
- tazx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4"All the elements of the earth except hydrogen and some helium have been cooked by a kind of stellar alchemy billions of years ago in stars; some of which are today inconspicuous white dwarfs on the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy. The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of stars." - Carl Sagan, Cosmos
- Helois, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Dont reply to comments u know are going to get buried anyway...
oh wait... ***** - OneHine, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Maybe another supernova could fix things again?
- NihilFist, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"The way out"... being what? Reading the Bible? Going to church on sunday? To these activities give you extra credit points?
and btw, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God... then came Open Office . Org - knomevol, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1if there was a one and zero to life, where would it go?
what would it mean?
what difference would there be for encountering this signpost of life as opposed to any other?
how much do you love?
guess what.
that's how much the universe loves you back. - hiscity, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1¡ No hombre ! It's never been about points.
It's more like a back-up. The Way Out is Jesus. He's the subroutine and we are objects. If we call on Him, we shall be saved. He's the anti-virus. The virus is sin. Those that are washed in His blood spiritually, become sinless -- no matter how "good" or "bad" they've ever been, or what knowledge they might have or lack.
Jesus is the Way Out of this beta creation into the New Heavens and New Earth. As the Son of God, He is the root and we are directories, made to carry all the abundance of His love (forgiveness, honesty, peace, truth, faith, lovingkindness, and justice). Those that don't want anything to do with him don't have to -- but they're caught in infinite loops (of addiction, lying, murder, lust, pride, discord, and scamming). They won't be listed in His registry. When time's end comes, (not long now), they won't be ported to New Jerusalem and carried over into the New Creation.
As for open source, Paul wrote letters to many churches. They all had their own attributes. Jesus, through John the Apostle, did the same in the opening of the Revelation. He told each of them what they were doing right and what they were doing wrong -- and the consequences. Each church has it's own inheritance in Him that's imprinted on the members. The key for them is to be connected to Him through His Holy Spirit. His Spirit, His Network is the VPN. I will give you this though -- the Bible is the Firewall between us and the world.
Jesus has taught repeatedly that what we are spiritually inside is what we become externally outside. When we join to each other spiritually in Him, we will naturally meet with each other outwardly as a consequence. So going to church is just one of many such opportunities. He doesn't take us out of the world, but He does give us the opportunity to hook up with each other and recognize each other by the token of His love.
Incidentally, if you want nothing more to do with Jesus as the Christ (or Messiah), you can take the mark (666), and be identified with those that do the same. That's the flag, like archive bits, that puts you on the fast track to the place reserved for satan & the fallen angels and all those networked to them, (aka the dragon along with the beast, the false prophet (balaam), death&hell, mystery babylon (jezebel), gog&magog, the great (like the rich and famous).
No, it's not a matter of points, or who's been good or bad for santi claus. It's -- which group do you want to be with forever? There's no other way to be saved -- to have eternal life with Christ Jesus and go with Him via New Jerusalem into the New Heavens and the New Earth. There's no other way than through Him. He is The Way Out of Here (merely a prototype or beta ... or a sketch on His cosmic napkin).
You want out -- call on the Name of Jesus of Nazareth (or however you say His name in your native language) -- and you will be saved. - knomevol, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1dugg for enthusiasm.
lovely how there are so many facets, with each its own name, on this crystal of god. - hiscity, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Reminds me of the opening scene of "STAR WARS" -- "IN A GALAXY LONG AGO AND FAR AWAY...."
And all this is just God scratching notes on a cosmic napkin -- which He's going to toss in the trash.
The real deal is the New Creation, pointed to in the Revelation and other prophecies.
The nice thing about a created cosmos is that it can be authored and not wait forever for random chances.
So you think you're star stuff, eh? Truth is were all just code (like DNA and RNA and so on).
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God! (John chp 1)
But there's only 1 WAY OUT if you don't want to end up in the dump, forever and ever and ever.....
And miss the grandeur of the coming True Creation!
!!! JESUS REIGNS !!! - rajaal1977, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I'll reply how I wish as long as it is consistent with the comment rules.
- FatHed, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Stars are made of atoms, we are made of atoms, wow we are made of stars!!!!!
Simpleton. - JesterDev, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Jesus? Hehe, that's funny - I like that. I think it's cute how the slaves still believe the nonsense that they were taught instead of thinking for themselves. Anyway to each there own.
- mykos, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Great headline...best potential for sophomoric jokes since they announced the Wii.
- Hetman, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2I think it is a beatiful scenario that we have came from supernova and stars making heavier elements. Life is a miracle even if there is no God.
- sunshinemonster, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1No picture? Oh well, I know what the number 42 looks like...
- Helois, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Yeah dude go wash it in the sink where you clean ur dishes, the bathroom sink where you wash your face or put it in with your girlfreinds laundry, This is basic hygeine you tramp.
- rajaal1977, on 10/11/2007, -4/+0Please "drum_bum," with your next posting, make your subject (supernova) agree with its predicate (offer).
- Hetman, on 10/11/2007, -7/+3Damn I thought I would make a baby jesus joke first. O well funny anyways. Because the world has only existed 5000 years.
- Rager50, on 10/11/2007, -6/+0This is all lies.Theres nothing in the bible about supernovas. God made us. Thats it. Love jesus!!!!
- ablez3, on 10/11/2007, -10/+4i m in your bedroomz coverin yo momz with my substance of life.
- Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -7/+1....and ive officially had my laugh out loud moment for the month.. a little pop in the nose but none on the keyboard!
thanks surreal! - notyourbroom, on 10/11/2007, -11/+4Yeah, that's all well and good, but after a supernova went through all the trouble to seed our own solar nebula and help create our planet and the life on it, what did some of us choose to do? Form the RIAA.
***** the RIAA.
