  • wonderchemist, on 04/05/2008, -1/+14Why would NASA bury scientific evidence of life on Mars? Evidence of life on Mars would be one of the greatest scientific discoveries of all time. And would boost NASA funding for at least 3-5 years. Also other countries are sending probes to Mars now. Does NASA want to credit to go to some other country studying Mars? Wouldn't that be a huge embarrassment?
  • inactive, on 04/05/2008, -0/+9I'm sorry but you can't just conclude that there's life because of one flawed test. The organic molecules test still needs to be done by a properly working probe.
    ...and for the last time the colors of Mars photos are not fudged. You can photoshop them to look like Earth all day long and it still won't make it true.

And what did the retouched image prove? This is what mars would look like were the soil NOT mostly iron oxide? CONSPIRACY!

While we still have quite a ways to go towards proving that there is life on Mars, this does help point out that it's not an impossibility. Also, is NASA burying some of their data so no one can come up with the proper answer? It certainly seems so.
