- mikbunn, on 11/18/2008, -2/+46This is not what "sci-fi" means.
- hauntedchippy, on 11/18/2008, -2/+31Sorry where is the fiction part?
- CasinoJack, on 11/18/2008, -1/+19Those weren't the droids I was looking for :(
- havesometea, on 11/18/2008, -1/+16Danger! Danger Will Robinson...this list is invalid!
- ScottMcIntyre, on 11/18/2008, -0/+13RIP Phoenix Mars Lander. It sent back fantastic images and data which captured our imagination. Heck- it even tweeted on Twitter. The first social media, superstar spacecraft ;-)
- MazdaEric, on 11/18/2008, -2/+13Voyager was also one of the probes behind the main story arch for Star Trek: The Motion Picture...
yeah, I'm a nerd - twinklyJesus, on 11/18/2008, -0/+9HAL 9000 was a computer, not a robot.
- Jektal, on 11/18/2008, -1/+10Good list, but where's the love for Opportunity and Spirit? Those little guys are what turned the public's perceptions on Mars exploration around and gave NASA some much-needed respect.
- jhw549, on 11/18/2008, -0/+7yup it was V'ger
- gwaggy12, on 11/18/2008, -0/+7Bender, anyone? Anyone?
- imasuperDOTcom, on 11/18/2008, -5/+11I am so bored. I mean really, I do NOT want to work today. I just don't. I don't feel like it. It's not that I'm sick or anything, I've just worked so much in last few weeks it's hard to bring myself to work more.
But here I am on Digg, and it's just a crapfest of articles today. Except for that one about the dad that accidentally killed his daughter with his gun - that was a a good, heated debate.
But really.. the flash games are boring, the news is weak, the consumerist is on the downward spiral of no longer being cool... they're not even updating regularly anymore.
I need a new something or other to rejuvinate my web browsing experience... [sigh].
Oh well, I guess I'll just go click around some more - maybe leave some more mind numbing comments. Or maybe I'll do, as I do in typical fashion, start writing a blog article and then half way through lose all motiviation and interest and just find my way back to digg. oh well. - casbar, on 11/18/2008, -0/+6Bunch of nit-picky, anal-retentive commenting geeks. Who cares if the title sucks and the article isn't completely accurate to your liking? It was a decent list and pretty cool from my perspective.
- Bosoxmrkn, on 11/18/2008, -2/+8sci-non-fi ?
- orion846, on 11/18/2008, -0/+5i came here for the cylons, i was dissapointed
- mikbunn, on 11/18/2008, -0/+4R2D2, not C3PO? You're just homophobic.
- nils, on 11/18/2008, -2/+6Not a science fiction thing at all. Buried.
- jhw549, on 11/18/2008, -1/+5125 Diggs and the site's already down, epic fail
Oh and MediaSight please for the sake of all of Digg look at this:
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/science_fiction - jhw549, on 11/18/2008, -0/+4Second on all counts
- imasuperDOTcom, on 11/18/2008, -0/+3Do you work at home too? I do 2 days a week. Today happens to be one of those days.
- Shakermaker, on 11/18/2008, -0/+3Not Sci-Fi.
Buried as inaccurate. - zadadka, on 11/18/2008, -0/+3I have servers named after each of those, as well as Holly (Red Dwarf), Deckard (Blade Runner) and Orac (Blake's 7).
- twinklyJesus, on 11/18/2008, -1/+4Sorry for parroting, but FAIL. This article has nothing to do with Sci-Fi Robots. Otherwise, where's Robbie from Forbidden Planet, Gort from the original Day the Earth Stood Still, or Huey, Louie and Dewey from Silent Running?
- mikbunn, on 11/18/2008, -1/+4Flexo
- FungusAmungus, on 11/18/2008, -1/+3Due to the misleading title I spent frantic seconds skimming the list for HAL.
- ncc74656m, on 11/18/2008, -0/+2Not sure what was on the list, cause, oh yeah, the site is down!
Well, anyway, since it seems apparent that they actually meant real probes, not sc-fi.
In that case, did anyone see if Deep Space 1 was on the list? That thing was awesome. - JasonCox, on 11/18/2008, -1/+3English fail.
- inactive, on 11/18/2008, -2/+4The Terminator was a cyborg (sorry, 'cybernetic organism')
- imasuperDOTcom, on 11/18/2008, -0/+2Yeah you gotta love that - I work in a semi-IT related department so fortunately I'm not tied down with creepy policies like that - but I hear they're still watching what we're doing, which really upset me.
- Shogi, on 11/18/2008, -0/+2No Marvin from Hitchiker's? Bah.
Oh well, voyager is a good one. - Xondar, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2Isaac Asimov noted that robots are just mobile computers and computers are just stationary robots.
- n8dude, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1This guy obviously doesn't know what sci-fi means. Buried.
- jhw549, on 11/18/2008, -0/+1nope I just have an unmonitored internet connection at work and managed to get myself administrative access to my computer...
- LordEpic, on 11/18/2008, -0/+1Key word: Sci-Fi!

His B4 to my Mr. Data... - VaporBro, on 11/18/2008, -2/+31) Tom Servo
2) Crow T Robot
3) Johnny 5
4) R2D2
5) HAL 9000
Fiction. Bitches. - Xondar, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1That would be true if the list was science fiction, but it is not.
- inactive, on 11/18/2008, -0/+1Grandma, NOOOOOO
- trp642, on 11/18/2008, -0/+1Reminds me of http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/terriblesecr ...
Pak Chooie Unf
Do you have stairs in your house? - leland1, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1I'm sorry, but a list without Wall-E is not a list.
- Xondar, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2Only his skin was organic, and it was just camouflage and it wasn't important to his vital functions. After all, you see lots of skinless terminators.
- warriorscot, on 11/18/2008, -1/+2I think it was probably supposed to read sci-fi inspired robots or something along those lines, but it was a very good list so I'm letting it slide.
- seanisftw, on 11/18/2008, -0/+1... I expected wall-e and robocop(from the first one of course)
:p - spacerobot, on 11/18/2008, -0/+1#6: me.
- speedyrev, on 11/18/2008, -1/+2If you are wondering, it's not worth asking for a cache.
- eeron, on 11/18/2008, -1/+1Wow, looks like this article didn't pass the "Great Filter" that is the Digg critics did it?
Whilst the title could be improved, how about reading the opening paragraph before deciding whether or not an article is inaccurate or not... I think you'll find your answers there... - seantubridy, on 11/18/2008, -1/+1Dude, these are a sci-fi robots.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/seantubridy/sets/7215 ... - Rudegar, on 11/18/2008, -2/+26. V.I.N.CENT
7. Maximilian - bubba9999, on 11/18/2008, -1/+1Try LOLcats. I hear they have a funny picture on there now.
- inactive, on 11/18/2008, -2/+1Doesn't sound like you're doing much work to me.
- DteK, on 11/18/2008, -2/+11. Optimus Prime
2. The Terminator(101)
3. R2-D2
4.MechaGodzilla
5.HAL - oxilite, on 11/18/2008, -3/+1Hey, I'm not sure if anyone noticed at all, I cant believe i am the only one who caught this, but THESE WEREN'T fictional at all!!! Hmm, what are all these other blocks of text above mine? Oh well, they are probably not important or worth reading...
