- simplechris, on 03/26/2008, -2/+6New Latest: Man uses computer to find hole in ground. ;]
i jest, its pretty cool that he found it on the map but it was his friend who actually visited it and confirmed that it was indeed a meteor crater ...yet he claims it as his own without ever visiting :] good man! - Glanzer, on 03/26/2008, -1/+4There's a story about a local who fell in that crater... His donkey was at the edge of the crater so he started yelling at his donkey to throw down a rope. Unfortunately his donkey couldn't hear him. It's clear then... He couldn't tell his ass from a hole in the ground.
- OwdenBowden, on 03/26/2008, -1/+3That's not a Meteorite crater - That's a man baby.
- majordanger, on 03/26/2008, -0/+2He is not the 1st, a few years ago, an amateur astronomer read an article on multiple craters on Mars all in line created when a meteor breaks up. He then proceeded to find a triplet in northern Africa in about 15 minutes using Google Earth.
- Vuredel, on 03/26/2008, -0/+2This is what I thought upon reading the title:
"Oh my god! That meteorite crater is using Google Earth!"
"Quick, we have to stop it!"
Yeah, I need sleep. - Van3ck, on 03/26/2008, -1/+3“Our best estimate at the moment is that the crater is 10,000 to 100,000 years old,” said Dr Hickman."
Impossible... we all know the Earth is only 6000 years old! Buried as inaccurate. - zapa, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1geologists ftw
- chrizzler, on 03/26/2008, -1/+2I hope not, Googledammit!
(shamelessly copied from Southpark) - zoethebitch, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1Looks like a close-up picture of a chocolate chip cookie
- 4rp4n3t, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1You seem a little uptight for an Ozzie...I think that was intended to be what we call a "joke".
- themastersb, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1It looks like what used to be a lake.
- inactive, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1My God, It's full of trees.
- Vivavelo, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1Another one. As we can think, the Earth has been bombarded quite a lot of times. The real question is: When is going to be the next one?
- simplechris, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1obviously.
- simplecow, on 03/26/2008, -0/+0Actually, most Australians don't like/drink Fosters.
- inactive, on 03/26/2008, -0/+0Makes me want to find a crater and name it whatever I want.
- lisenko, on 03/26/2008, -1/+1Use the duplicate checker people!
- rilus, on 03/26/2008, -1/+1His friend is only confirming. Besides, he would have never been there, if it hadn't been for the Google map guy.
- CSharpSauce, on 03/26/2008, -1/+1damn....
- Viend, on 03/26/2008, -4/+3I'm sure lots of people have seen it, just that no one until recently ever thought that it was new.
- Celeron, on 03/26/2008, -4/+2For the poor man, who needs to take a vacation around the world when you got Google Earth. ;)
- wediggit, on 03/26/2008, -5/+2Strewth mate, they will go to any lengths to get some shade for their fosters!
- razorsharpwit, on 03/26/2008, -8/+3In 100 years or less, GOOGLE will be the new, universal word for GOD.
- inactive, on 03/26/2008, -8/+3Amateur footage of inside the crater.. does anyone know what the silver disc object is?
