NASA unveils moon rocket Ares V design

hitechwave.com — NASA unveiled a new design of a proposed moon rocket Wednesday, saying the Ares V spacecraft that is to carry astronauts is scheduled to blast off in 12 years, according to media reports Thursday.

  • tradun, on 06/27/2008, -0/+0Firstly, the Ares V is not designed to carry astronauts, that is what the Ares I is for. Secondly, NASA could get off the ground and to the Moon sooner, more safely and more cheaply by implementing the DIRECT proposal, which is a true Shuttle-derived option.
