- CanTheSpam, on 06/23/2008, -0/+11This was originally a picture of a pigeon.
- matt510, on 06/22/2008, -0/+11There is ALWAYS processing involved with any photos taken via telescope. Sometimes they are false color or color enhanced depending on filters or gasses or temperatures they they are trying to highlight. That doesn't mean they are fake or inaccurate.
- ojasnet, on 06/23/2008, -0/+5With a seemingly endless supply of breathtaking photos like this, Hubble along with Spitzer has got to be one of the best government bargains ever... over its lifetime, it'll average well under a dollar per year per American.
- TaylorTAP, on 06/23/2008, -0/+4Most beautiful and stunning barf I've ever seen.
- INDOAZZ, on 06/23/2008, -0/+4Imagine if NASA never fixed the Hubble? What a disaster that was for NASA, back in the day.
- noface28, on 06/23/2008, -0/+4Like someone above said, there is always some sort of processing...
but....
Space really is that awesome. I am definitely pro-space. - Eisen4, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3I needed a new wallpaper. Thx nasa
- inactive, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3I saw God on a piece of toast once....
- SciFctn, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3see the sillouhuette of the man in the bottom center-left?
- Notasheeple, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3IF each one of those bright spots is a galaxy, and if each galaxy has several planets, and this is only a small section of the universe, then NOT questioning the possibility of "E.T.'s" seems kind of strange. Don't you think?
- mjklaser, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2scary monkey face, upper right
- Brownbox, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2Colonel Tom Edwards: Why is it so important that you want to contact the governments of our earth?
Eros: Because of death. Because all you of Earth are idiots. - ButchersBoy, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2+1 to space.
- Amadeus2490, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2Scaramouche! Scaramouche! Will you do the fandango?
Thunderbolts and lightning very very fri - oh, sorry. - unorginalityftw, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2You're link didn't work for me, but I know what episode of Futurama you are referencing.
- WWJeffersonDo, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2Is that where God lives?
- DirtPile, on 06/23/2008, -2/+3Apparently, the Universe is made of barf.
- frozzenst, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1We are not alone...
- stephenhacking, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1It would have taken 70 million years for the light from the nebula to reach Earth.
To know exactly how it looks present day its gonna take us another 70 million years. - iChopPryde, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1i'll be your internet bro forever ^_^ lol

- smashingmonkey, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Makes you feel so, sort of... insignificant, doesn't it?
- Fluvant, on 02/27/2009, -0/+1If that's god, then I'm not a believer.
- Baronvontito1, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Several planets per galaxy? Try millions, billions even. And yeah, it's pretty unfathomable. Even if there's one planet in every galaxy with advance civilization (which is probably unlikely), that makes billions of advance civilizations throughout the universe. Think about it... Man, space is awesome.
- Dylson, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1Cool.
- AEdgett77, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1You have a small monitor...
- dvazgird, on 06/23/2008, -0/+0looks like something you'd see through a microscope.
- arobicha, on 06/23/2008, -0/+0I once open-mouth kicked a theist in the face for "seeing god" in things. You're just lucky I love Futurama so much.
- acex23, on 06/23/2008, -5/+5i wanted to make a joke with the word "space" in it and maybe even without using spaces in my sentence, "likethisorsomething" and then someone could comment underneath me and be all like "I see what you did there!" and we could e-high5 and my e-cool would grow and we would be internet bros forever. But I couldnt think of anything.
- ArchangelM, on 08/22/2008, -0/+0YES THAT IS LOVE
- ArchangelM, on 08/22/2008, -0/+0WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE USING MY NAME?
- ArchangelM, on 08/22/2008, -0/+0I have waited sooooo long for others to at least see the face of a person (just above and to the left of what people are calling a "cone"). Very few have been able to see that face, not to mention so many other shocking images in hydrogen ALPHA... Thank-you for being so observant, and for pointing out what I have tried to show others for years.

- lolwutpear, on 06/23/2008, -1/+0I see what you failed to do there.
- ghaib, on 06/22/2008, -8/+3Am I the only one thinking that there's just a tiny, winy, bit of Photoshop work in all these NASA pics?
