- k7jeb, on 05/29/2008, -1/+18Hey, I'll Digg anything that invokes a quantum-mechanics principle to explain a phenomenon.
- DermDoc, on 05/29/2008, -2/+13In LA county, they call this phenomenon Smog Bow.
- inactive, on 05/29/2008, -0/+10Wow, an albino Rainbow !!
- jakash, on 05/29/2008, -3/+11I thought this was ASTRONOMY picture of the day, not fog on earth picture of the day. Having said that, it's still a beautiful photo - hope this makes the front page.
- zoom1928, on 05/29/2008, -0/+4Those Mars Lander pics get even more impressive.
- Shaman760, on 05/29/2008, -0/+4That's my town!! Take the "J" out of "JOB" and you have OB.
- robert001, on 05/29/2008, -0/+4Which bit is confusing you?
- Shaman760, on 05/29/2008, -0/+4Never knew so many Obecians are on Digg. We oughta meet up at the 'Shine for drinks!!
- rockefeller2, on 05/29/2008, -1/+5My friend nailed a homeless woman on that beach.
- Mr.Gone, on 05/29/2008, -0/+3Earth is floating through space. Who says it's a picture that we humans took. That Denver alien guy knows what I'm talking about.
- h8fulgod, on 05/29/2008, -1/+4So, this is definitely San Diego's OB, right next to Dog Beach (I know, I took the picture, and live half a block from where it was taken).
- Duositex, on 05/29/2008, -0/+3Drawing of a naked Japanese woman receiving oral sex from an octopus. a.k.a. NSFW
- yournamehere, on 05/29/2008, -0/+3even the rainbows are getting lazy
- electromime, on 05/29/2008, -0/+3I live 4 blocks from where that was taken...
- PhattyPhattMatt, on 05/29/2008, -2/+4the pacific ocean is big, so living near the pacific ocean is really really REALLY vague...
- fas2, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2If only.
- macosta5811, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2Well, I just live 60-70 meters of the seashore...
- MrSlumberjack, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2Under the sea, under the sea
Darlin’ it’s better down where it’s wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devoting full time to floating
Under the sea - PhattyPhattMatt, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2i think it was the "SA" par that confused bigfrank
- macosta5811, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2Certainly, some days I thing I live in the Octopus' Garden!
We would be warm, below the storm
In our little hideaway beneath the waves
Resting our head, on the sea bed
In an octopus' garden near a cave - pegothejerk, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2I was at the corner of voltaire and abbott. You?
great place to live, for those interested. It's considered the hippy/vetran part of San Diego. It used to have a white power motorcycle presense, but that died down to almost nothing. It's very peaceful, aside from the bum getting shot by the cops once in a while. The rent is reasonable for california, there's a strip of food and shopping that isn't "out of the can", a skate park, surfing, fishing off a long ass pier, and there's TONS of photo opportunities. I must have taken well over 20,000 nature photos in a half mile area. - bouche, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2I've got news for you. There is an RSS feed for the APOD photos that you can subscribe to and spare us on digg from seeing APOD every single frikkin' day.
- neoq36, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2The Mist
- tolgafiratoglu, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2There're some sites which are popular everyday, NASA photo of the day is this.
Why not to fix it in the right panel?
Do you remember the day photo of the day was not in the front page? - Greenergrass, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Amazing phenomenon, thanks for this. I would like to see one white arch like this over the ocean.
- jawagas, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Ya he does!
- jaybol, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1i'm down for that! hit up my profile for my email contact info let's do a SoCal digg meetup!
- MaidMirawyn, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Wow! I have never seen or even heard of a "fogbow" before! Hope I get to see one someday...
- Anomaly100, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1I see this view outside my window here in Manhattan every morning...okay, I made that up....just jealous.
- Jsmuli2, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Slippy get back here!
- teh_techie, on 05/29/2008, -1/+2You talk. It appears no one will listen.
- MercedRocks, on 05/29/2008, -1/+2Thats right in front of my house where I g surfing every morning......
OB rocks! - inactive, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1I prefer the 3-D ones.
http://digg.com/space/First_3_D_Anaglyph_Phoenix_M ... - Vvolf, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Looks like a rainbow frown...
- msamjr, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Our astronomy teacher would always put up the NASA picture of the day to show the phenomenal occurrences of the universe, but that stopped rather abruptly when we linked his bookmark to tubgirl instead :(
- Duositex, on 05/29/2008, -1/+21,264 miles of coastline on the Pacific Ocean and the only name they could come up with for this beach is "Ocean Beach". Purely inspirational.
- kbro, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Is there any difference "quantum mechanical wavelength" and "wavelength" of light?
One could put "quantum mechanical" in front of just about and still be correct, and sound smarter. But it would be adding no additional information. - 808ethan, on 05/30/2008, -0/+1You dont see them often because white rainbows are afraid the colored ones will make them pay reparations.
... its a joke! Relax :) - PabloMac, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Be careful or someone may call you an (slang for donkey)anus.
- waluum, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Is it an ultra-condensed rainbow?
- sloppychris, on 05/30/2008, -0/+1Newport Blvd. ftw
- PabloMac, on 05/29/2008, -2/+3Did you mean:
Calm down,
*****
? - sagien, on 05/30/2008, -1/+2NASA is an acronym for National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Aeronautics is a key word here. - idavidtang, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Hurry, someone go find that pot of platinum at the end of the albino rainbow!
- idavidtang, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1The smog here is too much to form anything other than a smog dome.
- sering, on 11/22/2008, -0/+1that's nice

http://tembol.freehostia.com/ - SidiousX3, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1digg me down!
- SetecAstronomy, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Every day there's a new picture, and every single day some karma whore just has to submit it. Even if the nasa folks posted goatse, someone, somewhere at 12:01 am is thinking "I'm going to be first to submit this to digg!" I can only surmise that the drones vote it up because they haven't figured out how to bookmark it. Feh.
