- floridiot2, on 07/10/2008, -1/+13We must being democracy to the moon!
- mildewmedia, on 07/10/2008, -1/+12Noah's Ark rain came from the moon CONFIRMED.
- orangederange, on 07/09/2008, -0/+10Not cheese?
- aelder, on 07/09/2008, -1/+11So if this end up being correct and there was a good bit of water on the moon.

How did the moon form? Our satellite is keeping secrets. :| - cmccool, on 07/09/2008, -0/+9FTA: "It suggests the intriguing possibility that the Moon's interior might have had as much water as the Earth's upper mantle. But even more intriguing: If the Moon's volcanoes released 95% of their water, where did all that water go?'"
Man in the moon got thirsty. Duh. - KaiUno, on 07/10/2008, -0/+6The pebbles they had, it's the water detection (in parts per million) that we weren't able to do accurately. RTFA.
- benoitcsirois, on 07/10/2008, -1/+7How could it take so long to find these pebbles?
- ModernGeek, on 07/10/2008, -0/+6I find your lack of original conversation disturbing.
- blankoboy, on 07/10/2008, -0/+5I still cannot believe that we (mankind, not any particular nation) does not yet have a permanent base on the moon. Can you imagine what could have been achieved with all the $$$ that has been pumped into killing people in Iraq these past 5-6 years? It is almost unfathomable.
They should have already sent up a crew and done some drilling on the on the moon. If there were any such minerals or water under the surface, a permanent habitat would certainly be "doable". But then we'd be going to war on the moon as well. Clearly we, as a species, are still very primitive and sad. - aelder, on 07/10/2008, -0/+4I kind of wish it did have oil so maybe our civilization would move into manned exploration.
- MustacheFace, on 07/09/2008, -1/+5The moon was obviously God's giant canteen.
- Auxon, on 07/10/2008, -0/+4What's so surprising is that the water is NOT from minute traces of water found amongst the countless meteorites ... RTFA! It says that this water must have come from the interior of the moon during it's geological development.
- jonthebishop, on 07/10/2008, -1/+5IF ONLY IT WAS OIL!
*face palms* - canadalolz, on 07/10/2008, -1/+5i almost dislocated my eyes from rolling them so far up my gigantic head.
"omg something we cant explain! therefore... GOD DID IT!!!"
***** lunatic. just because something comes along that people of a certain intelligence didnt know about (and couldnt have previously known about), doesnt mean that they're wrong and you're right. - jessespitzack, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3Underground swimming pool. I hope it's heated.
- 12D3, on 07/10/2008, -1/+4"We're whalers on the moon, we carry a harpoon..."
- mrgermy, on 07/09/2008, -1/+4The Mooninites hide it all.
- Fordi, on 07/10/2008, -0/+3How science works:
Observe. Refine. Repeat.
That's exactly what's been done here.
Meanwhile, how religion works:
Indoctrinate. Regurgitate. Repeat.
Which is exactly what you've done here. - Auxon, on 07/10/2008, -1/+3No it doesn't it tell how ... it says that the moon was THOUGHT to have come from part of the Earth ... this puts it into question. Read the 1st few words of the first and third paragraph:
"The Moon is thought to have been created in a violent collision between Earth and another planet-sized object.
Scientists thought the heat from this impact had vaporised all the water.
But a new study in Nature magazine shows water was delivered to the lunar surface from the interior in volcanic eruptions three billion years ago. " - adn6691, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2that would be pretty awesome, you know, just like in Titan A.E.
- Fordi, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2Oh, god. Tell me you're Poe-ing.
- BobTheChainsaw, on 07/09/2008, -2/+4The moon is obviously a giant spaceship built by aliens that they used travel here.
- lonelily, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2Well, I thought that was funny.
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2that's all well and good, but what has the moon done for me lately?
- Virgule, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2Its the Marathon!
- FoxFaction, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2Did this seriously get 10 diggs? I mean the moon gets mentioned, and a quote from a 30 year old movie is somehow relevant enough to make this comment 3rd best? And #2 is from it as well...
- yujie, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1When do we get to enslave the moonmans for there valuable water?
- bobbothegod, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1I wonder if it is possible that in the moon's mantle there could be enough pressure to bond any stray hydrogen and oxygen to create the water...
...just a thought. - jstem1994, on 07/10/2008, -1/+2So it's PMSing??
- MightyAphrodity, on 07/09/2008, -1/+2lol, of course why didn't i think of that?!
- Krlll, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1The moon is obviously artificial that's how the water got there.
Its exactly the right size and distance from the earth for us to see total eclipses.
Coincidence?I don't think so. :P - hollyminkowski, on 07/10/2008, -1/+2If they could only find water on the Moon!
It would be the key to easy permanent human occupation...you can make air and rocket fuel from water using simple equipment.
hydrogen,oxygen...can be extracted from water with electricity (electrolysis)
It does seem odd that you can make something explosive from water, but it's true. - dunktim, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1But does it blend?
- Skull0Inc, on 07/10/2008, -0/+0Show me larger picture with more angles of the glass beads created pls...
- FoxFaction, on 07/10/2008, -1/+1quite a stretch, that joke
- adn6691, on 07/10/2008, -2/+2space + moon + mystery * earth origins = greatness
- synaesthesia, on 07/09/2008, -2/+2I don't see what's so surprising about the idea that minute traces of water found amongst the countless meteorites to have bombarded the lunar surface are still present in certain places in the satellite's body.
- daisyhill, on 07/10/2008, -2/+2It would seem that if the moon was formed from our earth, it would have water. Very interesting! Of course everything about our galaxy is!
- groo68, on 07/09/2008, -3/+2It could have been a comet that crashed into the earth and didnt bounce off with enough force to leave orbit, and the water it held was possible pulled by gravity from the moon to earth, which would be interesting because the moon is thought to be a water spirit in places.
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -5/+2Did you read the article? The first paragraph tells how.
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -10/+1C'mon Scientist. I have to listen to the 'science cronies' expound your virtues, and most of all the elitist finalities of your discoveries. Now, ONCE AGAIN, you come up with something else you did not know. All Scientists are is awesome seekers, but when you discover something, don't be high minded of how certain it is. God made things for you to discover, congrates, you found it!!
