- Manchildcartoon, on 09/11/2009, -0/+30I find it amusing that most conspiracy theorists forget that NASA performed a few more manned moon landings after 1969.
- dtele, on 09/11/2009, -2/+25I wouldnt describe those early 'Luna' or 'Lunar Orbiter' missions as 'landings'... more like controlled crashes.
- Yage2006, on 09/11/2009, -1/+16What a flawed argument.
And the only other nation capable would be russia but at the cost and little to gain back then seeing as US already did it why bother.
You probably don't know the USSR sent a probe to the moon to verify that the us has landed and was keeping an eye on them. Do you actually think the US would try to pull some ***** like fake it while the whole world was watching them and then get caught. Or would you say that's because they are part of the conspiracy too.
There is tons of other evidence. How about you go look for proof that goes up against your conspiracy theory an re-weigh the evidence.
Seeing as the conspiracy is based on anomalies and no hard evidence it should be easy "if you have a brain" to decide. - tgc9012, on 09/11/2009, -3/+16You lie!!!
- Harabeck, on 09/11/2009, -0/+11Better question: Why would they?
- nullcodes, on 09/11/2009, -2/+9If you zoom out further you can see the entrance to Universal Studios.
(i kid) - DiggUnderground, on 09/11/2009, -5/+11Very interesting...

- 4AntiStupid, on 09/11/2009, -0/+5Moon rocks in your trunk?
- andoru, on 09/11/2009, -2/+7That's no moon...
- ThanatosST, on 09/12/2009, -0/+5Space travel is still extremely expensive. Getting ***** up to where the ISS is is pretty expensive, much less all the way out to the ***** moon. There's a reason we had to have the Saturn V to get the Apollo missions there; you need something that big and complex to get something the size of the Capsule + Lander up there.
- cankillar, on 09/11/2009, -0/+5that banner graphic confuses me. Why is a meteor (is that the right word) crashing into a crater? Salt in the wound?
- BillE3, on 09/11/2009, -1/+6The easiest target we ever shot at in space.
- evilesttoast, on 09/11/2009, -0/+5You're a dumbass. No, really.
- CloseYetFar, on 09/11/2009, -0/+4"China's first mission to the moon was crashed into the surface" Oct 2007
Maybe next time guys, but hey look at the bright side, your only 40+ years behind. - mechnoch, on 09/11/2009, -1/+5For a second there, I thought this was a scale illustration of the Moon and the Death Star.
- Corr0sive, on 09/11/2009, -5/+8No way....
WE LANDED ON THE MOON! - ortucis, on 09/12/2009, -0/+3Even though I am Indian, I have faith in NASA to make a comeback (who wouldn't?.. well, except for most Americans :P).
- djambo, on 09/12/2009, -0/+3And you decided to reply based on your non-obsessive-compulsive order? BITCH PLEASE.
- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 09/12/2009, -0/+3On of my favorite movies is In the Shadow of the Moon, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0925248/
The entire movie is narrated by the Apollo Astronauts themselves. Only a few times text is used on screen. It's really quite amazing to hear it in their own words.
In any case, my point is that at the end of the movie one of the astronauts (Alan Bean?) responded to the question with this answer:
"Why would we fake it NINE times?"
It's really quite funny.
/story - djambo, on 09/11/2009, -0/+3They decided TO send mEn to the moon after several CONTROLLED attempts at landing.
There, fixed. Count'em, there were five. - CATSCEO2, on 09/12/2009, -0/+2A movie too (Iron Sky)
- DoctorLexus, on 09/12/2009, -0/+2Dumb and Dumber reference?
Dugg regardless. - spectre_25gt, on 09/12/2009, -0/+2It feels good to remember that even if the US isn't going back, other countries are still interested. Who knows, maybe India or China will lead us to the stars.
- thirdeyeopen, on 09/11/2009, -3/+5Nothing from US since '76. Sad :(
- inactive, on 09/12/2009, -1/+3Imagine if the Germans had reached the moon first with their rockets and the Swastika flag was still up there....
- Pinkertinkle, on 09/11/2009, -1/+3the moon grows a little further from the earth every year. The further it goes, the less gravity so its actually logarithmically escaping from us.
- adml_shake, on 09/11/2009, -4/+6Well they spent all that money on the sets and props...might as well use them. If the public found out they only used it once they would be outraged!! Spending all that money and only getting one use!
- digitalArtform, on 09/11/2009, -0/+2LOL must be. good catch
- physicsguy89, on 09/12/2009, -1/+3WE HAVE TO GO BACK!!!
- Gibletoid, on 09/11/2009, -1/+3Obviously, you have never obviously before.
- cankillar, on 09/11/2009, -0/+2"Universal"
do I smell a delicious pun? - wozup, on 09/11/2009, -2/+3Would you seriously shut the ***** up. Every story that is even remotely related to a conspiracy you act like an ignorant stubborn child. Nobody gives a *****. You are not smarter than everyone else, you're just being a prick.
- Skardhamar, on 09/11/2009, -1/+2It's too big to be a space station!
- Yage2006, on 09/11/2009, -1/+2Ya by 1cm a year. A thousand years from now it will be a whole 10 meters away. A distance my wireless bluetooth mouse can cover :)
- pjvdg, on 09/12/2009, -1/+2They may have had some of the most advanced technology at the time, but they were no way near ready a manned space mission.
- zerocool11, on 09/11/2009, -2/+3HA! we have more lil blue dots then the rest of you! nanananananaaa
- jakeremington, on 09/11/2009, -0/+1Simpsons did it.
- anixmander, on 09/12/2009, -0/+1I do believe someone wrote a novel concerning that concept.
- BabyWookie, on 09/12/2009, -0/+1When it comes to USSR/Russia, their automated missions have done everything of scientific value that the manned Apollo missions did. A manned mission for them would only waste money and remind every one that they they were not the first.
- nitsuj, on 09/12/2009, -1/+2"They went to the moon in your mind. Just how would you know the difference?"
Because there's tons of evidence remaining from the moon missions - including photographs of debris we left there _on-site_. Also the reflector placed there by Neil and Buzz which is used to reflect laser from Earth to calculate distances etc.
You haven't been able to produce _one_ piece of compelling evidence that the missions didn't take place. Even that video you've been touting recently doesn't cut it with it's brainwashing voice-over which doesn't reflect at all what's actually happening in the video. Really, you need to try harder.
As we observe these historical artifacts we left behind, it's fun watching you squirm more and more on here, just looking ever more ridiculous. - pinkbob, on 09/13/2009, -0/+1On March, 1st, 2009, at 08:13:10 UTC, Chang'e 1 crashed onto the surface of the Moon, ending its mission. According to the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (China), this was a planned and controlled impact.[12] Impact point was just south of the lunar equator, at 52.36 degrees East Longitude[13]. During its orbital mission the probe transmitted 1,400 gigabits or 175 gigabytes(GB) of data.
- inactive, on 09/12/2009, -0/+1YOU LIE!
- inactive, on 09/12/2009, -0/+1You need a class in logic.
- ildiko, on 09/12/2009, -0/+1Check out Google Earth for additional landing site and scientific explorations. Google Earth, View, Explore, Moon...
- swagv, on 09/11/2009, -3/+32007 lesson learned: never trust those cheap Chinese-made lunar landers you find at Wal-Mart.
- inajeep, on 09/12/2009, -1/+1Troll is trolling.
- anixmander, on 09/12/2009, -0/+0Its kinda sad that you actually had to point that out for some people......
