- nightmarecinema, on 04/15/2008, -13/+4This really should hit the front page. Unfortunately it probably won't. Another legend dies.
RIP. - steelclash84, on 04/15/2008, -0/+23RIP.
However, I must point out that the title did come off as a tad bit odd: "Coined the term black". - Spuy767, on 04/15/2008, -0/+7Science loses another great. Public education is simply not producing people capable of filling the shoes of the out-of-the-box thinkers.
- altgeeky1, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3(satire alert)
Why should it? What would more of these people do?
Remember, the leaders of the US says the economic engine is about 'services' and 'consumers'... why would we need science or math to further these goals? - sickrubik, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1What does Schrodinger have to do with this?

- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 04/15/2008, -2/+32I hate lazy submitters. PROOF READ YOUR SUBJECT PLEASE BEFORE SUBMITTING!
- wassim2k, on 04/15/2008, -0/+2It's not just that they're lazy, they're submitting everything real fast so that they can get credit for being first to submit a story. they suck, but unfortunately, they probably submit the majority of the stories on here.
- steelclash84, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4It's not that they're lazy; it's just that they don't care.
- sindrit, on 04/15/2008, -0/+11What did they call the color black before? Was this like when people had number systems that did not include zero? Just no phrase to describe lack of color?

- RustyJ, on 04/15/2008, -1/+14the headline makes this article sound like a race issue on first glance
- BOFH2, on 04/15/2008, -8/+6That is only because you are conditioned to think that way.
- mannderdame, on 04/15/2008, -3/+3Why is this comment buried and why does it have -2 diggs? Are people so afraid of the truth that it deserves to be buried?
- RustyJ, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1It's a partial truth. I'm conditioned to think that way because we're on digg, and that's what gets headlines; Not because I am ignorant or racist.

LOL...yeah that was genius. "Gee that there kinda looks like a...well kinda like some sort of...well...a black hole."- MightyLime, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1It used to be called a "gravitationally completely collapsed star". Which do you prefer?
- abuelos84, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1It's a GraCoCoSt... Good for me.
- MightyLime, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1It used to be called a "gravitationally completely collapsed star". Which do you prefer?

- TheStrongForce, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1There is no greater book on General Relativity. As the article says, it will always remain in print. Hats off to you Wheeler, if only I could be as great as you and get my PhD when I turn 21.
- darkmythos, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1to bad.... our average iq is dropping so that stupid people shine and another if possible, who was just as genius, would be shoved to the back.case and point, bush as president.

So this is the guy we have to blame for racism! - rwheeler, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1I may be slightly biased (check my username) but we need more people like Mr. Wheeler.
- trollick, on 04/15/2008, -0/+2The term is "African-American".
- r2builder, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1Before him, we just called them "colourds".
/Gareth Keenan - Farnn, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1I highly recommend his autobiography mentioned in the article. Very interesting read.
- Amnesia10, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1He also did a lot of work on spinning and charged black holes, opening up the possibility of travel through spinning black holes.
- MystDarkarma, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1In another reality of his own making.. He's still alive.
- pyro12, on 04/17/2008, -0/+1We need more physicists like him. RIP.
