- kru1e, on 06/23/2008, -1/+10I really wanted to be an astronaut as a kid. No one informed me being colorblind was a problem until I was older. *****.
- tofur, on 06/23/2008, -0/+9If you like this, you should watch WHEN WE LEFT EARTH on the Discovery Channel. Even better in HD.
- jellygraph, on 06/23/2008, -0/+7Crazy. Thanks NASA. You are a credit to humanity.
- bblande, on 06/23/2008, -0/+7Simply amazing...the one that got me was the Spirit photo from the surface of Mars. We're just a little "star" in the sky.
Makes all of our differences here seem so petty. - lorem1000, on 06/23/2008, -1/+8Great collection!
- zdiddy85, on 06/23/2008, -0/+5This server must be based off-planet as well. Taking forever to load.
- vroom101, on 06/23/2008, -0/+5More pictures of Earth, high-res links included...

- inactive, on 06/23/2008, -0/+4I don't know why, but the older I get, the more these pictures freak me out. They make the mind boggle. Thanks for posting :-)
- nirav72, on 06/23/2008, -0/+4I think the best shot was the one taken by the spirit rover. Even though it was only a small dot. All the way from the surface of mars..on another planet and to look up at the sky and see earth. Amazing!
- smashingmonkey, on 06/23/2008, -0/+4Home sweet home.
- zadadka, on 06/23/2008, -1/+4Pale Blue Dot.
- sanman, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3Take a look at this - you won't be disappointed:

I particularly liked the one of Earth and Moon together, au naturel. That's an actual photo, not a compositing of them. Gives you a nice sense of the scale of distance between them. - orlandorays, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3They forgot Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter:

Hello robot...
Hello sign...
Hello space probe...
Hello Earth... - inactive, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1why be an astronaut when you can be a power ranger?
- Goombellaofgoom, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Planetary spacecraft? I thought the Death Star was long gone.
- sTiVo, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1I totally agree. Not to make a commercial for Discovery Channel, but it was awesome to see some of the old school Apollo footage and various earthscapes in high definition. I remember when it happened, but it again felt sad to see the Challenger explode in high definition. I had never seen that so clear before.
- Luigison, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1I've been using one of the Apollo 11 high resolution images as my desktop for awhile now: http://luigison.kontek.net/desktop.jpg
- unknownohm, on 06/23/2008, -0/+0I always like to think that Earth is about the size of a grain of sand(on Earth) compared to the Universe. Then I feel so small that I tell myself "***** work today, it doesn't matter"
