- renanrrinaldi, on 10/20/2009, -3/+159@c3rb85
That's what she said! - techobo, on 10/20/2009, -4/+149More respect to Owl and Rorschach for finding Adrian's secret base! Antarctica is huge!
- papashawn, on 10/20/2009, -5/+128Land mass bigger than USA? UNACCEPTABLE. Time to bring Antartica some freedom, if you catch my drift ;)
- norle, on 10/20/2009, -0/+112Not only is is extremely large, but it seems to have a land mass within it that looks very similar to the United States!!
- DevinWatson, on 10/20/2009, -0/+106Here you go: http://merzo.net/100mpp.htm
- cor315, on 10/20/2009, -0/+95You're allowed to say bitch on the internet now.
- toxicityj, on 10/20/2009, -0/+93You know what's mind blowing about that picture? As huge as the Executor was, the Death Star was STILL disgustingly huger.

- WiggyWack, on 10/20/2009, -7/+90So... it's big?
- LonesomeFighter, on 10/20/2009, -0/+82American education told me it was connected to Canada. Please don't blame the entire nations educational system on one retard.
- legom, on 10/20/2009, -1/+77Here's what fits into Russia:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Zm6HzN5YVI&fmt ... - RealmDown, on 10/20/2009, -8/+80That what SHE questioned.
- the8thbit, on 10/20/2009, -1/+71What the hell?
It's only a few inches across!
What is this, a continent for ants? - CaviMike, on 10/20/2009, -2/+71But can you see Russia?
- Phrea, on 10/20/2009, -5/+73I actually expected it to be bigger.
- scarlettletter, on 10/20/2009, -13/+81That's a huge b!#%*!
- mikhasw, on 10/21/2009, -0/+65When the f#%$ did that happen?
- diggan8, on 10/20/2009, -1/+65It's only a model.
- wily6, on 10/20/2009, -0/+57You've clearly never visited Youtube then.

That's what she said. - Hefelumpman, on 10/20/2009, -1/+36Let's not do this again.
- greggerm, on 10/20/2009, -0/+35Snappy Reply #1:
Because the image was made by NASA, presumably for the American public, who have a fairly good grasp as to how big the lower 48 actually are... Nevermind the fact that 99.351% of all US citizens live in the 48 contiguous states. - Jeembo, on 10/20/2009, -13/+45No one? Fine.
That's what she said. - mnpilot, on 10/20/2009, -2/+33I can if I am in my helicopter shooting wolves
- megapartyboy, on 10/20/2009, -0/+31no, it's continental.
- jefree, on 10/20/2009, -4/+34Maybe after a century of Global Warming we can colonize it!!
- Jektal, on 10/20/2009, -5/+35That's part of my problem with the whole of Star Wars. It's kind of like watching George Lucas play with toys, "this ship is 50,000 kilometers long! But this one is 1,000,000 kilometers! Pew! Pew!"
- DevinWatson, on 10/20/2009, -0/+30Should you want to check out the rest of the site: http://merzo.net/
- ptbus0, on 10/20/2009, -1/+31Because NASA tends to work for the people who supply them with their funds and we prefer to compare our own states.. erm like Alaska to other states, our best known territory. I'm sure if you found an article by an Australian corporation they would compare landmasses to their continent.
- Jektal, on 10/20/2009, -0/+30Nobody bit because someone already made the same comment above, and the same "she said" quip.
- Jeembo, on 10/20/2009, -0/+30:(
- OMGscience, on 10/20/2009, -0/+27Why would your friend marry such a twit?
- Arceliar, on 10/21/2009, -3/+29Distorted map projection is distorted.
That's why Greenland looks to be about the size of Africa on most maps, even though it's...not. Greenland is about 0.8 million square miles, Africa is around 11.6--something like 14 or 15 times larger.
Similarly, the continental US is about 3.1 million square miles, while Alaska is about 0.6, give or take--not nearly as distorted a ratio in sizes, but distorted none the less.
Basically, Alaska is "only" about 1/6th the size of the continental US, not the 1/3 or 1/4th it looks like on most maps.
Still a huge state, though. - puppeto, on 10/21/2009, -1/+25OM*#*G
- toxicityj, on 10/20/2009, -1/+23Devin..I..I think I love you.
- jd33, on 10/20/2009, -0/+22my bad (accidental)
