Solar Cycle 25 peaking around 2022 could be one of the weakest in centuries.
May 10, 2006:
The Sun's Great Conveyor Belt has slowed to a record-low crawl, according to research by NASA solar physicist David Hathaway. "It's off the bottom of the charts," he says. "This has important repercussions for future solar activity."
Still think it's a joke? - inactive, on 01/06/2008, -2/+5Al Gore had less qualifications than Casey...and look how many people here in Diggland bow down and worship the guy.
- budser, on 01/06/2008, -1/+3But that article doesn't mention anything about global warming or cooling, does it?
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -0/+2I'm OK with burning up, but I really really hate cold !
- JigoroKano, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1Does Al Gore push forward his own personal theory of climate change?
- DucoNihilum, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1Well, the problem with that is the sun is what has been causing our "Warming". We couldn't do very much to contribute to global warming at all.
- inactive, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1As long as the Sun keeps posting pics of ***** on page 3, I don't care what effects it has on global temperatures.
- cvrti5, on 01/06/2008, -1/+2Then let's continue global warming!

I'm more qualified. And I don't feel that I'm qualified. - Napoleone, on 01/06/2008, -1/+2How good it feels to be vindicated when almost the whole of humanity tells you you're wrong.
On the other hand, now we're ***** in my direction. - shatteredmind, on 01/09/2008, -0/+0if you assume we are the cause of global warming with CO2, and suggest we continue to fill our atmosphere while the sun cools down. short term, this might be a good thing against an ice-age. but what happens afterwards? our self-made global warming would add with the suns global warming ... .. i think that would be a dangerous game to play ;)
- inactive, on 01/06/2008, -2/+2Wait a minute. Did the Goracle give permission for this information to be released? All climate-related material must be passed through his office before being released to the public. After all, he did make that movie...er, documentary...and now many people, especially in Diggland, think that he is the savior of the planet and won't believe anything unless he OKs it first.
- shatteredmind, on 01/09/2008, -0/+0its sad this is 3 days old, but didn't make it to the top yet. i hope this will change.
- DucoNihilum, on 01/06/2008, -1/+1It's called connecting the dots.
