- EviLiu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I like how the two guys in the beetle video put their hand into the jet exhaust. I would not be doing that.
- andrewcsayer, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8In other news, big car, small penis syndrome is alive and well
- BobCock, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6any of those have whistle tips? WOO WOOOOOOOO!
- edenseager, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I don't see how adding twin jet engines to a car is geeky? Looks better than a boy racer exhaust on some ford escort...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4louder than louder than
- rluna559, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Under Funny/Pointless Mods, the first video with a black car (slide down doors), is not a mod, but in fact a concept car, which I believe is a Chrysler. The the stuff on that page is old anyways.
Might as well mention the Honda Del Sol X-Wing

- Smight, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I need to get a roll down door.

On the plus side, the Terranaut looks pretty sweet. - k3vinmartian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Welcome to the club
- DiggerRich, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3"The ultimate in street racing, some very advanced modders have added twin jet engines to this car that was actually being sold on Ebay a while back. Really puts nitrous to shame."
Holy *****? - bamapachyderm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I was waiting for that too. :-/
- k3vinmartian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah, that was a concept car a few years ago. It will never see production. :(
Nevertheless, I could see something like that rigged up for weather trackers, news reporter cars, or Google street view cars. - scallon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I thought it was a Lincoln. But either way it is not a mod, you are right, it was a ridiculously rare car. I think there were maybe 14 that were actually built. And only a handful left. If someone can remember what it is reply and let me know. Might as well mention the BMW Z2 from the early nineties as it had a similar design where the side doors could somehow be hidden, though on the bimmer they could be left down while driving.
- k3vinmartian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That was actually pretty sweet. I could see that on cars in the future.
- lilrabbit129, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1They just choose to spend their money in that way. Same as any other hobby... theirs is just more dangerous and very expensive.
*goes back to his cheetos* - gravis86, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The afterburner was not lit. At that point it would only be spitting warm air, much like the normal exhaust on your car. Only difference is the air is traveling very fast.
- k3vinmartian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Well, with out the after burner on, it's more like a really big hair dryer. If you left your hair drier pointing straight at your head for a good while you could be burned. In this case, if you left your hand in the way for long it would be burned too. Otherwise, you could pass your hand through the exhaust just fine if you do it quickly. However, if the after burner was on, it would be like passing your hand through a blow torch flame.
- iet2004, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3help me understand this: i need money to buy a car for solo and/or road racing. i need money to make my current car go zoom! i do not have said funds. but some guy has $250,000 to buy a jet engine to put in a.....BEETLE????!!!!! some guy has money to make all the doors/trunk lid on his car crooked? the vroom-vroom gods have not been looking upon me with favor.
