How do you know there is no God?
What qualified you to determine this?
We certainly know there is Satan with all the evil in the world!!!!
So if there is evil there is good.
So therefore there must be God of the Universe
and not man who wants to be the God.

These people vote. - Tallon29, on 11/01/2009, -3/+26Can't figure out how something happened? Dark Matter did it!
- overridemymind, on 11/01/2009, -3/+18Jesus tapdancing Christ....
First, that person doesn't even see the logical fallacies he's made there, which saddens me.
Second, the point you made -- "these people vote" -- that's the scariest thing I've seen this Halloween. - sbcea, on 10/31/2009, -0/+8Dugg for use of the word piffle.
- dijkstra22, on 11/01/2009, -0/+6p : I can pick my friends.
q : I can pick my nose.
p and q ---> there is a God.
Logic. - mhenke10, on 11/01/2009, -0/+5I read it, expecting a scary new doomsday story, and then I re-read the title. Dark matter wecking ball may HAVE hit Milky Way. It already happened. I don't care anymore.
- otbeverly, on 11/01/2009, -0/+4See, there's a logical proof.
/s - dutchapprentice, on 11/01/2009, -1/+5i didn't enjoyo your stupid comment very much
- marscom, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2It was me :P
- mooseysavage, on 11/01/2009, -1/+3Should'a Would'a Goa'uld'a
- PeaceShot, on 11/01/2009, -1/+2Dark Matter is the new God.
- rusty0101, on 11/01/2009, -0/+1Well, so long as the effects are all in the past, and nothing is going to be happening in the future as a result, I suppose you're safe.
- lead2thehead, on 11/01/2009, -1/+2It's coming from the Goa'uld Belt... I should have known.
- replaysMike, on 11/01/2009, -0/+1All these comments suck, despite the cool caption.
- vinnyraffle, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I instantly stop reading when any article includes a Chuck Norris joke.
- nowhereelse, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1FTA "Using computer models ..." "This is a very promising result,"
God help us. This is not a result! It's a piece of mathematical ***** around on a computer. It proves that someone can invent a model that accounts for the behvaiour. It doesn't say anything about whether the model is reasonable or correct. It is also based on:
1. A theory of stellar evolution which has been seriously challenged by every observation ever made of change in stars.
2. The contentious existence of Dark Matter.
Garbage. - JulioChavez, on 11/02/2009, -1/+1Well, there is a lot of evidence that there is some unseen force. Dark matter and dark energy are just what they call this unseen force. It is unknown but the fact that there *is* this unknown force has been independently verified / discovered many times, and in the correct quantities.
What I find cute about those who promote science as a counter argument to creationism, is that they believe that lightning struck a puddle of primordial ooze and by random chance, the chemicals in that puddle started eating and reproducing. Thus began the long story of Evolution, the end result of which is Digg.
Could it be that a superior being purposely set up the conditions for life to evolve on Earth? Ridiculous!! Lightning + slimy puddle is the way it happened - you superstitious dimwit. It's SCIENCE!! Besides, everybody knows there is nothing superior to humans. We are at the top.
That last paragraph was meant to be sarcastic, in case those of you who use that exact argument couldn't tell. ( I wouldn't be surprised ) This is just an example of how someone who uses science as their religion can be very stupid indeed.
The truth is probably a combination of the two "theories". There is no refuting evolution. There is a lot of evidence to support it. There is no evidence whatsoever of our origins, however. It is extremely likely, in my estimation, that we did not happen by accident but rather life was seeded on Earth by something with an existing intelligence. I think that the questions about our origins can only be answered through a deeper understanding of the nature of reality itself, not by knowing the sequence of events at some time in the past.
- ParticleMan420, on 11/01/2009, -1/+1Damn nature etc etc...
- fragMasterFlash, on 11/01/2009, -1/+1Am I the only one whose internal voice reads articles like that in tweaked auto-tune now?
- JulioChavez, on 11/02/2009, -3/+1There is no evidence that God exists.
Therefore, God does not exist.
This is the primary argument of a Digg atheist.
THEREFORE Digg Atheists are simple-minded jackasses OR they are agnostics.
Personally, I think the most vocal Digg athiests just stamp their foot and cry "There is no god" because in their twisted minds, if this were true they wouldn't have any reason to be ashamed of putting another man's penis in their mouth.
I could be wrong though. - vaccumpony, on 11/01/2009, -7/+0From the article:
"Astronomers have only detected it (Dark Matter) by its gravitational pull on galaxies"
NO THEY HAVE NOT! Dark Matter is a conjecture. An idea.
IT IS NOT EVEN A THEORY!
Theories can be tested. There is NO TEST for Dark Matter. Dark Matter is nonsense. Right up there with String "Theory". - sullyz0r, on 11/01/2009, -12/+3Little do they know that so-called "dark matter" is Chuck Norris.
- FrigginRandom, on 11/01/2009, -13/+3I always enjoyo scientists. They think religious people are stupid yet they beleive in something you cant prove in any way shape or form.

What is Digg?
