- rocknog, on 11/15/2009, -0/+18Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high... Apparently these damn butterflies took the Reading Rainbow song as a challenge.
- InMSWeAntitrust, on 11/15/2009, -0/+12What kind of hurricane does a butterfly on a space shuttle make when it flaps it's wings?
- InMSWeAntitrust, on 11/15/2009, -0/+11keep ***** that chicken, elchispito.
- DrSnugglebunny, on 11/15/2009, -0/+5Damn, still no ants sorting tiny screws in space...
- shedtroll, on 11/16/2009, -0/+2GOD SPEED SPACE BUTTERFLIES!
- cawfee, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2Godspeed, little Lepidoptera!
- Pitak89, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2I smiled whenever i read 'space butterflies' in this article.
- nekokyu, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2I wish i could digg you a million times.
- Parrappa, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2I hope it doesn't flap it's wings and cause a hurricane in space. Damn butterfly effect.
- hasslinthehoff, on 11/15/2009, -1/+2Incidentally, it's also considered the most sissy space launch in the history of NASA.
- appleseed1234, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1That's going to suck, if they flap their wings they'll just crash into a side of the container, all they can do is not move.
- inactive, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1Butterflies are getting a SECOND ride on the space shuttle - what about me? I havent even got my first ride.
- robbiedo, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1Space bat hangs his irradiated head in dismay.
- crackerjack20, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1They'd better hitch a ride "in" the shuttle and not "on" it, cause they'd probably blow away during launch.
- dillonflynn, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1Oh great, first we let the butterflies into our schools, then they steal our jobs, now they're taking over our space stations! I, for one, was hoping that when we colonized our next planet, we'd leave those damned butterflies behind, but nooooo...
- verkon, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1How do they know that the monarch butterflies aren't specially trained henchmen?
- vaderson, on 11/16/2009, -0/+0When Hollywood decides to make a movie about this (and they will, they're desperate for ideas), what will they call it? Suggestions please....
- Cyberdropping, on 11/15/2009, -3/+0More critical research.... *rolls eyes*
Why don't they just admit, that now that we are no longer using the shuttle for "unannounced" military payloads, that they might just as well park the POS before someone else gets killed. Let's face it. We have been in low earth orbit now for over 40 years in one tin can or another. there is nothing else to "research".
Spend our tax dollars more wisely NASA or risk loss of funds from the government. We have many more priorities that are much more urgent than more microgravity experiments.
Create more probes, make more telescopes etc. - elchispito, on 11/15/2009, -11/+1Way to stay relevant, NASA.
