- salculd, on 11/22/2008, -6/+26Why do people do this? Why should any of us care? Imagine if every single person who dugg a story immediately posted a comment stating they'd done so. What would the point of the counter be, then? And for that matter, why would anybody care if some random guy had dugg a story? If they DID care, then they'd already be friends and thus could have seen it already.
Sorry to unload this all here, just this happens on every website like this and I never have grasped why people think it's a worthwhile thing to do. - inactive, on 11/23/2008, -0/+20But I do think that we should digg them up.
- TyrannousDotNet, on 11/22/2008, -1/+19"Get your ass to Mars!"

- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -0/+14We should put a base on the moon, and be very close to mounting a mars expedition by now.
- martinezmic, on 11/22/2008, -6/+16"Captain, there be glaciers here!"
- Games4Life, on 11/22/2008, -2/+12I love DiggDugg =D
- sanman, on 11/22/2008, -0/+9nuke some ammonia comets, deflect them towards mars and vaporize the icecaps while adding some nitrogen to the planet
flood the hellas basin, seed in photosynthetic extremophile bacteria - RogerStrong, on 11/22/2008, -0/+9Yes. Now we've found another large source of water, and we don't need to travel to the poles to get it.
We don't need an ocean for greenhouses or producing fuel. Between this and the ice confirmed near the poles, this is the year Mars colonies became practical. - lecturethis, on 11/23/2008, -0/+9wait till they find WMDs on Mars
- toolsdrummer, on 11/23/2008, -2/+10I agree with your comment, so I dugg you up...
- TribeDoktor, on 11/22/2008, -1/+9Arthur C. Clarke is likely spinning in his grave with glee over this news... he wrote a few books about space craft using water as fuel... they could just land... mine it... refuel and take off again. Let's hope science catches up to Clarke's imagination!
- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -0/+8I'll get right on it.
- halmonk3, on 11/23/2008, -1/+8looks like these glaciers have been "dugg up"
- AirRaven, on 11/22/2008, -0/+6Qualify with evidence that *refutes* the current reasoning with *complete* statistics?

- thefbimonkey, on 11/23/2008, -0/+6RocketMan, a 1997 comedy/science fiction movie that was made by Walt Disney Pictures . No one dies in that one.
- seocookie, on 11/23/2008, -0/+6Undugg.
- Mahargi, on 11/23/2008, -1/+6Glaciers have melted and formed long before humans came around. Humans will be extinct eventually and any damage done to this planet will heal. Get off your high horse, I'm sure you contribute just as much as everyone else to the 'problem'.
- farfegnugen, on 11/23/2008, -0/+5Keyword: movie. It would be possible to bring them back. Look into the "Mars Direct" plan. Granted, it has its risks, but it's still possible.
- Paranor01, on 11/22/2008, -0/+5Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home
damn trekkie wannabee's lol - ConfirmedCynic, on 11/23/2008, -0/+5Sounds like Mars would be a pretty wet place if it melted. If only it were to have a proper magnetic field, it could be made into a little Earth.
- AmericansRevolt, on 11/22/2008, -0/+5i think its pretty cool we now have more then enough proof to know that we can live on mars with current technology. we even have the budget to do it. i say we make it a giant prison camp for 2/3rds of us americans.
- McDuff, on 11/22/2008, -0/+5Twooooo Weeeks Twooooo Weeeks!
- ndthl, on 11/23/2008, -0/+5very true. this is possibly one of the most important digg submissions. even more interesting given i recently finished reading red mars!
- RogerStrong, on 11/23/2008, -0/+5We'll live undeground, and indoors.
I live in a place where the temperature regularly goes down to -40.
If settlers could survive here 120 years ago after arriving with little more than the clothes on their back, modern settlers can survive on mars. - Agent08, on 11/23/2008, -0/+4They all went to Venus
- kurtwinter, on 11/23/2008, -0/+4Start The Reactor Quaid!

- Truth3, on 11/23/2008, -0/+3Yes, this is definitely Star Trek IV episode 5. This line was said exactly at 4:32 into the episode. There are exactly three people on screen, two men and one woman. **snort**
