- Hanny26, on 10/12/2008, -2/+38I can just see it when that kid was young...
Father: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Son: I wanna be an astronaut!
Father: You're god damn right you do. - random12345, on 11/16/2008, -2/+34Lord British... in space...
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -2/+30wow.. 35 million dollars.
that would fill up my jeep for almost a month! - dafragsta, on 10/12/2008, -0/+23Just say Lord British. Almost everyone on Digg knows who that is and that's far more significant than "astronaut's son."
- KC9ECI, on 10/12/2008, -0/+21His dad, Owen Garriott was also the first ham radio operator to ever come on the air from space. Richard will also be on the air making contacts via amateur radio with the Boy Scouts during the Jamboree On The Air. Very cool.
- andywebb95, on 10/12/2008, -0/+17> by his father, a NASA astronaut who went into space at the height of the Cold War.
Who would have known that his son was going to go into space someday on board a Russian rocket as a space tourist :) - inactive, on 10/12/2008, -2/+15i would go to space too if i made Tabula Rusa.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -0/+11So if I send a magic missile at the space shuttle in mid-lunch will I be able to finally get Lord British down to 0 HP?
- Propethic, on 10/12/2008, -1/+10I used to play Ultima Online for like 6 years. The first 3 or so were great until Richard decided to make a quick buck and sell his studio to EA, which proceeded to rape the game and turn it into a monster farming WoW-esque item fest. The game was supremely fun and original, but something turned in people once other mmorpg's came out, it hit mainstream and people demanded crap like no consensual pvp and an entire world where you can't get killed by other players, which still to this day ruin what could be great mmorpgs.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -0/+8"Are thou surest that is a wise move, Avatar?"
- lacreme, on 10/12/2008, -0/+6whoosh
- kagebutsu, on 10/12/2008, -0/+6Wow I had no idea his dad was an astronaut
- reticulate, on 10/12/2008, -0/+5God Speed, Lord British.
- digginaround, on 10/12/2008, -1/+6Just gonna say it, because I can: I'm related to him, if by just a litle bit. Exactly speaking, he's my second cousin, once removed. (My dad's second cousin.) I ***** you not.
- emmeron, on 10/12/2008, -0/+5no no no... you need a demon-possessed sword...
then you ask it to blow the shuttle up. - supermanly, on 10/12/2008, -0/+5OMG You're famous on Digg! I'm so jealous.
/no sarcasm - sayoshinn, on 10/12/2008, -1/+6misleading title...I took it as a current astronaut blasted his toddler kid into space. that would've been way cooler
- scaaven2, on 10/12/2008, -0/+4Rainz
- kingofinternet, on 10/12/2008, -0/+4lord british blasts off into ethereal void
- Andyz, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3All hail Lord British!
- PixelEater, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3Don't forget, this is how Venom came to be in the animated series.
- BossKey, on 10/12/2008, -0/+3This article was up earlier with a different headline...the interesting thing being that you can get totally different reactions out of people (disgust, admiration, respect, rolled eyes, etc) depending on whether you write the headline as...
"Astronaut's Son to Visit ISS"
"Space Tourist Pays $35 Million to Visit ISS"
"Lord British to Visit ISS" - TheAeneid, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3Should have used that money to make a better game. Took the money and ran... er, flew! Tabular Sucka.
- passedoutghost, on 10/12/2008, -0/+2Or allow me to buy 35 houses without a debt!
- Alethinos, on 10/12/2008, -1/+3Mirror:

- bitbytebit, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2TR was pretty awesome, too bad WoW's pull was just too strong :(
- XtheXlanternX, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2I agree wholeheartedly, mate. UO was the greatest game ever made, pre-Trammel. There will never be another game like it because everything has to be marketed to the masses these days.
- bubba9999, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1everybody is. mom slept around...
- kcpepper111, on 10/12/2008, -2/+3Heyooooooooooooooo
- fuze44, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1Not so sure about that. Do the younger ones know about Ultima any more?
- HentaiJeff, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1RTA it's a soyuz craft, you'd need far less then a magic missile :D
- XtheXlanternX, on 10/13/2008, -2/+2TR was god ***** awful. Its amazing that the same person made UO and TR.
- bubba9999, on 10/13/2008, -1/+1style vs substance
- JTTM, on 10/12/2008, -3/+2Tabula Rasa ***** sucked.
- disrupter, on 10/12/2008, -5/+4 Rich *****!
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -3/+1Slow news day?
- Cerzi, on 10/13/2008, -4/+1Yes yes, we all played and loved UO and hate how it was ruined. But that doesn't mean we have to spurt out a cliched memoir at even the most indirect mentioning of it.
- CompleteyRandom, on 10/12/2008, -9/+4I'm CompletelyRandom, and I approved this message.
- iBits, on 10/12/2008, -7/+2He better set the controls to 666 to get back home.
- HanSolo69, on 10/12/2008, -8/+2Really? Wow? I mean, I think you could drive a Hummer for a month without stopping until it ran out of gas, refill it and do that again and it still wouldn't equal $35 million. You really got ripped off. Oh well, let the buyer beware.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -7/+1Global Warming anyone?

What is Digg?
