- GodAImighty, on 07/17/2009, -7/+396Still ain't going to convince the loonies, they'll be able to tell by the pixels.
- bboySNO, on 07/17/2009, -2/+214Enhance, enhance, ENHANCE!
- bwinebarger, on 07/17/2009, -5/+205The skeptics will now cry photoshopped instead of sound stage.
- marksven, on 07/17/2009, -1/+159FTA: "these first images came before the spacecraft reached its final mapping orbit. Future LROC images from these sites will have two to three times greater resolution."
- raitchison, on 07/17/2009, -0/+90Unfortunately there is no amount of evidence that would silence them, they will claim that the LRO pictures are doctored or outright fakes.
You could put them in a rocket, take them to the moon and have them look at the landing sites with their own eyes and they would claim it's an elaborate simulation. - bboySNO, on 07/17/2009, -3/+89Corrected: The deniers/hoaxers/conspiracy theorists/people unwilling to accept reality will now cry photoshopped instead of sound stage.
True skeptics don't ignore the irrefutable evidence that we went there. - RealmDown, on 07/17/2009, -2/+88I feel that I speak for a lot of folks when I say,
Hey all you "tinfoil hat 'it's a fake' people" --- Look at this and BITE ME ! - trogdor1289, on 07/17/2009, -8/+81Shopped, I can see the pixels.
- dafragsta, on 07/17/2009, -5/+71They've seen a lot of 'shops.
- noahhoward, on 07/17/2009, -0/+61Being able to see the trails from them going back and forth with the equipment carrier is probably one of the more amazing things there.
- rabidjester, on 07/17/2009, -2/+60Right now CNN has a poll on their main US page, which asks "Do you think the moon landing was a hoax?" 15 percent say yes.
And I thought the birther/truther crowds were bad.. - darlingt, on 07/17/2009, -0/+52Being skeptical (or sceptical, if you're across the pond) doesn't mean that you don't believe no matter what. It means that you don't believe given the lack of hard evidence.

- StaticThunder, on 07/17/2009, -5/+53Moron.
- bam359, on 07/17/2009, -0/+46That Apollo 14 landing site image has replaced this:
http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/200 ...
as the coolest image I have ever seen. I'm looking forward to http://www.google.com/moon/ showing the latest images. - ophello, on 07/17/2009, -0/+42allie, it is irrelevant "what these look like" when you have the thousands of photographs, videos, testimonies, and stories from the astronauts themselves.
You really have a thick skull if you still think it was faked. - richmomz, on 07/17/2009, -10/+52Oh yeah? OH YEAH?! Then how do you explain THIS?!?!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mouUUWpEec0
/s - gcnaddict, on 07/17/2009, -4/+44Don't waste time trying to convince the conspiracy people to come to the right side.
Just let them bask in their own idiocy.
(having said that, thank god we finally saw the sites again. It's about time those born after the Apollo missions could see what's left of history close to real time with our own eyes instead of relying on archived footage) - noahhoward, on 07/17/2009, -2/+41Fine by me, it will reduce their credibility even more. If we were going to Photoshop them we could have done it ages ago.
- Napiertt, on 07/17/2009, -2/+39But where is the monolith?
- Cougarcat, on 07/17/2009, -3/+38This is cool beyond belief. But I am drowning in a sea of tears. Why? Head over to CNN. Their headline front page story (the one with the big image) is devoted to the conspiracy theorists. A story about the landing site images is nowhere to be seen
I had to head over to youtube to watch Buzz Aldrin punch one of the conspiracy theorists in the face so I could calm down. - Culyt, on 07/17/2009, -1/+36Obviously the fake NASA moonlanding soundstange was on the Moon!
- max420, on 07/17/2009, -2/+36This is probably one of the coolest pictures I have ever seen in my life. Even though its blurry and you can't really make out the lunar module, its there and it's clear enough to make out, and that's friggin' awesome.
Go human ingenuity!
I wish I could Digg this article twice... - mjparme, on 07/17/2009, -0/+34@noahhoward there is a difference between a skeptic and a denier, a skeptic will change their mind when presented with evidence. A denier denies no matter what evidence they are presented with.
- Hetman, on 07/17/2009, -2/+34They are the same crowd. They all get there information from the same person. Alex Jones is literally the biggest pusher of propoganda I have ever seen. It is funny though because he is constantly preaching against propoganda.
- zip000, on 07/17/2009, -0/+29Your sarcasm to no sarcasm ratio was off - I didn't realize you were being sarcastic until I hit the tag.
- D1Foley, on 07/17/2009, -2/+31If we never landed on the moon, why didn't the Soviet Union call us out on it?
I mean they had nothing to gain and a lot to lose by letting us land on the moon before them, if we faked it they would have told everyone. Except they tracked it until it landed on the moon, because we did.
yeah 6 times - Zaxcomp, on 07/17/2009, -0/+281% of people really like messing with pollsters.
- jmcneilly, on 07/17/2009, -6/+31Take THAT, moon landing denying bitches!!
- SirBruce, on 07/17/2009, -0/+25Just print the damn thing already!
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -2/+25Does it hurt to be so dumb?
- rapier, on 07/17/2009, -0/+23LROC image site with zoomable full images. http://wms.lroc.asu.edu/lroc_browse
- Disgod, on 07/17/2009, -3/+26You are not a skeptic. You are a conspiracy theorist/denialist.
- ophello, on 07/17/2009, -0/+23Your sarcasm was overwhelming.
- gerrylazlo, on 07/17/2009, -0/+22Thankyou, Neil, Buzz, and Michael.
I remember in 'When we left the earth', they pretty much thought it was a longshot that they would be returning. - Disgod, on 07/17/2009, -0/+22Silly goose, everybody knows it is buried underneath the surface!
- EvilJelloMan, on 07/17/2009, -3/+25There's a ***** saturn V sitting there for tourists to take pictures at the Kennedy Space Center. How can some old blueprints be more proof of its existence than the BIG ***** HUNK OF METAL that you can walk up and see with your own two eyes.
/facepalm - fury420, on 07/17/2009, -0/+21don't worry, the article says they'll have 2-3x as detailed photos of all the sites just as soon as the orbiter is in its proper position. Oh, and if that's not good enough, the Indians have plans for their own Lunar imaging orbiter to launch within a few years
- EddiePotato, on 07/17/2009, -1/+2125% of Brits are still bitter about the American Revolution.
- alphaterminus, on 07/17/2009, -0/+19WHERE'S THE MOON CERTIFICATE?
- MechaMurloc, on 07/17/2009, -2/+20I'm still waiting for the pictures of all the dinosaur bones planted by atheists who hate Jesus.
- ophello, on 07/17/2009, -2/+20You'll be proven wrong in due time. Be patient.
- EddiePotato, on 07/17/2009, -0/+18Go easy on Alex Jones. He's the first to admit his IQ was intentionally diminished by 20 points from drinking the government's fluoridated water.
- appleseed1234, on 07/17/2009, -3/+21Actually this reminded me of of how far we've fallen. Think about it for a second, we (and NASA) are excited just to PHOTOGRAPH the landing sites, that's the most we're capable of these days.
- s4g4n, on 07/17/2009, -2/+20Original article with more images.
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LRO/multimedia/l ... - rabidjester, on 07/17/2009, -0/+18I think I saw one his movie things about the Bilderburg group (think it's the guy you mentioned). Way to take something that is actually somewhat troubling, and scaring everyone away by turning the crazy up to 11.
- Kev8888, on 07/17/2009, -0/+17From a survey of 1000 UK citizens, 25% believe that the Apollo 11 moon landings were a hoax. Also, 1% think that Buzz Lightyear went to the moon!
