- k7jeb, on 11/13/2009, -2/+10Instant wallpaper! And I don't care if the colors are totally bogus... it's gorgeous! By the way, a knightly "Well Done, Sir" to the noble SirShareAlot for a perfect, fully titled, fully explained, fully thumbnail-illustrated Digg of this APOD.
- Bactame, on 11/13/2009, -1/+8This is a nearby cluster of stars coming into being. Neat, since they are only ~300,000 years old at this time here. Would be nice to go there and take a look.
- MacBookForMe, on 11/13/2009, -0/+5What a magic!

- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 11/14/2009, -0/+1It's not that we can't see faster than the speed of light, it's that it takes light that long to come to us.
The farther away something is, the longer it takes light to travel from it. Just like the farther away your work is every day, the longer it takes you to drive. The time it takes you to drive to work is like the time it takes light to travel. - hakujin, on 11/14/2009, -0/+1can somebody explain astronomy view span to me; specifically, why it is that when we look at things through a telescope it is already in the past? is it something to do with we can't see faster than the speed of light? TIA!
