- Stapledon, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5Nothing like a galaxy group to start the day off right. The face-on spiral in the lower-right is gorgeous.
- wlm09, on 07/01/2009, -1/+4Deep space galaxies are so cool

- cerejota, on 07/01/2009, -1/+2The only thing with more win than APOD and Bad Astronomy is the Universe itself.
SCIENCE, FTW! - Fuzzycop, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1APOD = Astronomy Picture Of the Day..."A.P.O.D."
- shawnsonium, on 07/01/2009, -1/+2Pictures like this make me hate the fact that I'll never be able to explore such places. Even if I could, I wouldn't be able to explore a fraction of them.
If we don't kill ourselves off, I sure hope someday we'll be able to appear as UFOs in some other civilization's skies. I can only wonder how we'll have evolved by that time, physically, intellectually and technologically. - Royish, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Right, that was why I was asking. ty

- IAMRaven, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1I'm sick of these titles that start with "APOD". I don't even know what a pod is. And I don't care. I'm not going to click on it simply because I'm sick of the "APOD" in the title thing. Title it better. maybe i'll click. APOD, APOD, APOD death to the letters A P O D.
- mattysgiftshop, on 07/01/2009, -1/+1Thats pretty cool!
- BrownyCub, on 07/01/2009, -1/+1Oh man...this is truly amazing. It just never ends. I too hope we don't kill ourselves off and instead venture out into space.
Anyone played Mass Effect... ;) - Royish, on 07/01/2009, -2/+2Are the colors originally part of the picture or is it added by an artist to a black and white photo?
- Iruka, on 07/01/2009, -2/+1Dude, its called exposure and separation of elements in the exposures. The rendering takes a long time because each color in the image represents a natural element. Look it up. The colors are not added they are revealed through elemental exposures.
- ivan423, on 07/01/2009, -6/+2i got kicked in the nuts today. it ***** hurts.
