- Zachariah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I, myself, am excited because I don't mind the full install files, but I hear people complain about it all the time -- one less hurdle in recommending this fine browser!
- whackaxe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nice to know they finally adressed this. I still like firebird 0.7 zip and run though =) always useful
- arglbl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yay, that's what they needed.
- mmansoor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cool, sounds intresting
- Jammerdelray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1keep on going firefox....easily the best and safest browser ever...with continuing updates from mozilla it will stay that way.

Updates *should* be forced on users (yes, even those of you who think you're leet haxors), because 99% of all the virus, worms and other crap floating around are explotinig already known and patched vulnerabilities. Automatic (i.e. idiot-proof) is the only way to go, and it's the most sensible thing Microsoft has ever done security-wise. - murph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What would really be great is an automatic update feature. I have installed it for friends and most never even notice the red update icon in the top corner...

This is especially true for typical (Windows) users!
It really would be an excellent option! - geoboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes, I agree that there needs to be an automatic update feature for Firefox. Fortunately, a patching system is one step closer to that.
- tbechtx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This would be one less thing to worry about.... at least for a day or two. Bring it on!
- Singe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I would like this much better.
- Paiway, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0sudo apt-get update;sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
or, with an alias:
update
Wow, that was hard. It's not like that updated every program installed on my system or anything.
