- chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My one problem with podcasters is that they do not standardize their tags - some have pre-named playlist, some not, some do not use a consistent artist name (TWIT for one) and some don't even come with "Podcast" pre-filled into the genre. Hopefully iTunes 4.9 will help standarize that by allowing you to specify naming rules for each podcast.
- Aleks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The day 4.9 comes out, I'll be getting rid of iPodder lite, even though its the best podcast software out there for the mac, I find it very tedious.
Some known problems:
- Doesnt remember my column sorting
- Cant rename various sources. There are podcasts out there who don't even name their RSS feed title properly. I have various sources titled "Podcasts".
Ok, enough of my whining, you get the point that I can't wait for this next version of iTunes! - whackaxe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^^ Nice idea, but i can't imagine anything else than a Steve Jobs speech on there because imagine you're a very very dark scary goth who loves his metal, and you get a podcast about some random ***** like say.... Daniel Powter or someones completly uninteresting life, you'd delete it anyway. not to mention having to load the iPods with differn't language podcasts before they're boxed (which could be a pain in the ass depending on how the assembly chain is set up).
