- honeycut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2actually when you submit a link - digg presents you with a list of articles which might be related. It's up to the user to look and see whether their article has already been submitted by someone else. It's the lazy wankers who can't be bothered looking who are the problem.
- honeycut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2it isn't an instant submission tool.
- honeycut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1slow down folks. The extension just shortens the submission process - it just enters the URL for you. The extension will not make those tools who submit links without checking for dupes do it any more often.
Calm down for f**k sake. - onedawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1damn I didn't realize that there was already a dupe checker on digg.com... so I guess I don't have to worry about that many dupes
- schroeder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i say use this plus the Digg search plugin and and you have a pretty kick-ass submission process in firefox. I think the people who don't take time to check for dupes never will, but for me, i think this is much more convienient. Not that i've ever submitted anything... luckily for you, i always check for dupes first...
- LandonG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1he made the extension :)
- honeycut, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm disappointed this got dropped from the homepage. The tinfoil hats win again.
- yugiohdan6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"he made the extension :)"
yes i did
and in totally unrelated news i figured out how to add backslashes to comments \ just add 2 like this \\ - honeycut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have installed the extension without any problem. It works fine in FF 1.5
- onedawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0kevin & the guys that program this site should set it up to not allow you to digg a url if it's already been submitted. I see why the plugin would work and allow people to digg faster but I agree that it's going to go all over the place with the dupes
- yugiohdan6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Calm down for f**k sake."
i agree! that's what the extension is meant to do
"for some reason I'm unable to install ANY extention...I click to download...click install...then nothing, ever"
i had that problem once before, my solution was to uninstall and reinstall everything in firefox(including user profile)
and yay 100 diggs :-D - wordmania, on 02/14/2008, -0/+0I am now using it quite well. hope it can keep in trace with the new demand.
