  • technosailor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Probably not a bad idea if there aren't features in 2.1 that you need. On the flip side, 2.1 has gone through extensive testing specifically for launch as well as on wordpress.com, so you might be okay.

I have an ear at WordPress. You too could have known that WordPress 2.1 was slated for tomorrow (Jan 22). This, for instance, was on Jan 8 (http://comox.textdrive.com/pipermail/wp-hackers/2007-January/010218.html). Since then, Jan 22 has been the date.

  • Drahkar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Problem is that filtering it out automatically would risk hitting non-spam posts that put links into them. Unfortunately as long as there are morons of this sort there will be spam.

    I still can't believe some of the statistics on Email spam I've seen out there. I have no doubt they are true, but you'd think with stats like those people would be more interested in resolving the issue and taking spammers down.

    In regards to the article, most of these features are running on the wordpress site itself and I have to admit they are nice.

    (BTW, been running CVS wordpress 2.1, i was about to write my own customised one for myself instead of using 2.0 because of some letdowns, but, wordpress 2.1 is much better IMO)
