- jeff1943, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is a major upgrade because it fixes over 100+ bugs and it is the first bug fix after the official release.
It's important to keep your Wordpress up-to-date - cpawl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i tried wordpress and nearly pulled my hair out trying to customize it. i've found movable type, and i will never go back.

HahaHa! Are you nuts??? Wordpress and Movable Type do simular things and offer different things but as far as customizing things - Wordpress is by far more simple. Did you try to do so with a text editor instead of in a browser window? Did you realize you can change almost everything within 4 or 5 files after the 3 minute install?
I thank the heaven's that my Movable Type days are over. - Woody, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's a .01 release ... no need to blow a nut over it. Does it really need an exclamation mark.
- Merlinhoot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Compare MovableType vs TypePad vs Blogger vs b2evolution vs WordPress
http://blogging.typepad.com/how_to_blog/2004/07/movabletype_vs_.html - DigitalKNK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think the reason why this is such a major thing is because it has some major bug fixes.
- tfsfloater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Learn how to code. If you are lazy, get WP 1.52 or whatever as a base and tweak it as many thousands have. It is open source. Bloggers are like BBS SysOps. If they ran a BBS, they own a part of the market.
The www/internet is what you make of it. Make it and use it, tweak it and use it, just dont use it and abuse it. - jrkagan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1...but I just upgraded to 2.0 last week!!
- coolbru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree about MT, but I've also moved away from WordPress - Serendipity works much better for me: http://s9y.org/
I've also seen good reports about boastMachine: http://boastology.com/ - sav2880, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is a definite upgrade for anyone blogging with a GoDaddy host ... it fixed a nasty little permalink bug that had been hanging around for quite a long time, and yes, I suppose I could code it out myself, but I don't exactly sit around with time to tweak my blog, I just like to blog, period. :-)

- Tyrekicker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Pffft. I love the marketting hype around 'improved' versions, when all they have really done is fixed the mistakes in 2.0 that should never have been there in the first place. Sure, it is technically 'improved', but only because it actually works this time. The fact remains that _this_ version should have been 2.0, not the oh-so-buggy, released-in-a-hurry-to-coincide-with-the-yahoo-hosting-deal version they spat out 31 days ago.
They should have released version 2.0.1 under the moniker, "the real 2.0". - search, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0its too bad they still don't have multi-blogging like Plog (now known as LifeType) has.
