- BradMurray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I believe that 99% of Internet users would also prefer Mozilla Firefox if they gave it a try." Sure - you couldn't get 99% of people to prefer water over kerosene as a drink.
- wormdrink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I use Firefox. I could really give a rat's nut what other people use. It's not like I'm on Mozilla's payroll...
- rayjay2380, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i just wish more people would like firefox and thunderbird and not be totally microshafted!!!!!
- Armitage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's why I use Opera... the alternative, alternative browser. Spyware will hit you FF users soon. Anything is better then ie tho.
- TheMole86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The main reason I think that a lot of people don't make the switch is because their afraid of change, they want to stick with the half-assed IE that they have always known and trusted.
- mattjb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0As a web designer, I wish everyone used Firefox, or at least a standards-compliant browser that isn't stuck in the Stone Age of the internet.
- LiquidGUI, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well I too as a web designer (hell I coded the original xhtml/css for Digg for Kevin) wish more people would use Firefox but I still think the "bank robbers mentality" helps the security we have with Firefox. Lets say IE is a Bank and FF is a Bank, if you are going to steal (make a spyware app) for one of them, might as well use your time for the big bank (IE that is).
Its like the Linux vs. Windows thing, Linux users say Linux is more secure than Windows when in reality both could be entirely as equal in security at a code level, Windows as the much bigger bank would be the best to you write your virus for because if you want to effect a lot of desktops, you might as well waste your time trying to take down the most. - LadyDeath, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree Netaku, DarkHack, posted some Firefox article but never did get homepage. I also, read article from other digg post and most over 20-25 never get homepage. For shame for those is restricting most post to homepage. AZZ...
- Netaku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Guys, I don't think enough rehashed Firefox articles make it to the frontpage. We need to dig these things harder.
- AAA-, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Frankly, I'd rather most people not use Firefox, it keeps it more secure that way.
(Interestingly enough, Digg's spell checker flags "Firefox" as an error)
