However, the author didn't do a good job comparing how each program compares to itself with regards to the fast setting and the default setting. For example, look at WinRK's performance of Audio/wav files. The fast option performed slower and obtained better compression than the default option (109,529,782 bytes vs. 110,171,053 bytes and 153.99 seconds vs. 119.86 seconds). How can this be? That anomaly was consistent throughout the data
