However, the author didn't do a good job comparing how each program compares to itself with regards to the fast setting and the default setting. For example, look at WinRK's performance of Audio/wav files. The fast option performed slower and obtained better compression than the default option (109,529,782 bytes vs. 110,171,053 bytes and 153.99 seconds vs. 119.86 seconds). How can this be?
