9 Step Brothers
10 Traitor - seanmx, on 12/01/2008, -0/+20these lists are stupid. Its more like, the top 10 available movies on bit torrent.
- inactive, on 12/01/2008, -1/+18nolan deserves a better class of pirates
- GreatSunJester, on 12/01/2008, -0/+13OK -- grab a globe. Ready..... Rotate it so you can see the bottom half, now spin it till you see the big, somewhat island-shaped, landmass. Australia.
- filovirus, on 12/01/2008, -1/+11The movie was excellent but could have been even better if Christian Bale would have taken the ***** out of his mouth when he tried to disguise his Batman voice.
- bennyshoham, on 12/01/2008, -2/+12the dark knightAs we reported earlier, The Dark Knight is on its way to become the most pirated movie of 2008
- limbclock, on 12/01/2008, -1/+10I dunno, i thought that Dark Knight was enjoyable piece of action, that didn't undermine the character of Batman, but I prefer Tropic Thunder more, simply because of it's ridicilous setting. And it has Tom Cruise in a fatsuit.
- DteK, on 12/01/2008, -1/+10TB drives + Verizon Fios FTW!
- Zippo, on 12/01/2008, -1/+8I wonder what the stats of pirated movies are for HD vs. SD? These days, I find myself more likely to buy a Blu-Ray disc than pirate it... especially when you're typical HD rip is 8 or more gigs... I just don't have the hard drive space to hold a ton of HD movies... nor the patience to wait several days for it to download.
- solid12345, on 12/01/2008, -1/+7Oh please, Wall-E had more heart in it.
- borez, on 12/01/2008, -1/+6We did this the other day:
http://torrentfreak.com/top-10-most-pirated-movies ... - inactive, on 12/01/2008, -1/+5Whats wrong with HD divx format?
- lovemorgul, on 12/01/2008, -7/+11The Dark Knight is the best movie on this list ;)
- Bojanglesmn, on 12/01/2008, -0/+4Can you dumb that down a little for me? Your dialect is so cultured and refined, my hillbilly assed self can barely understand you.
- inactive, on 12/01/2008, -0/+4I went for it in the theater so they already have my money.
- ohnoerino, on 12/01/2008, -2/+6The Dark Knight tops the list?! No! I refuse to believe it.
- ePuck, on 12/01/2008, -1/+4I've been waiting forever for this article.
- inactive, on 12/01/2008, -0/+3lib - You do not know what DIVX is do you? You know like XVID in the open source world?
- specialK16, on 12/01/2008, -0/+3.What the hell is QUANTUM SOLACE?
- DyceFreak, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2yea ever since the last time it was posted its like,
"Screw it this time around, I'll get it next time." - Qumahlin, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2I disagree, Tropic Thunder was slightly above average for the type of movie it was. It did get ***** during the middle at times, but overall not a horrible flick.
May Payne on the other hand is absolute garbage and House Bunny is only on there because its a new release. - mleh, on 12/01/2008, -1/+3Yes, because Tropic Thunder and Step Brothers both look like non-retarded films from such outstanding actors like Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell.
- rabidlemur, on 12/01/2008, -1/+3Arrrrrgh, stow that mutinous talk ye scurvy dog!
- Anand999, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2My old Athlon 64 3200+ can't playback the 1080P version of TDK floating around the BitTorrent sites. I either have to drop massive amounts of frames or let the audio get horribly out of sync after just a few seconds. The computer can playback 720P content fine although I think I see about 70-80% CPU utilization.
Anyone know what the cheapest CPU on the market today is that can successfully play back 1080P content? - ToonPang, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2Uh oh. You just went full retard.
- daridave, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2You're more right than you think. I buy many DVD movies, and sometimes I even download DivX version of the movies I own. Why? Because it's faster to click the movie I want to watch out of my hard drive and I have better control on it (timeline-wise), while the quality is very enjoyable. I guess I could rip my own movies, but I'm just lazy ... plus when I did it, the quality was always lower and the file size bigger, so I'm happy for movies on BitTorrent -- even those I own. There's also the fact that it's VERY ANNOYING when "Disc 3 of Season 4" of my favorite TV show ends being scratched -- I can't do a damn thing about it, and if I want a new one, I have to buy the whole season over -- and it ain't cheap! So "off-site backup" isn't that far from what they really are!
- newdigger, on 12/01/2008, -1/+3Yup, 1080p version only took 3 hours to DL.
- Greenbow, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2Those are the Top 10 Most Pirated No-P0rn movies.
- Qumahlin, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2I wouldn't worry about your CPU, pretty soon the codecs and hardware will be included on video boards just like what happened with original DVD and everything will be offloaded to that chip.
- filovirus, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2This PS3 AVC HD codec with 1080P + AC3 is interesting. The only downside is that The Dark Knight is 16GB to download.
- filovirus, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2So much for BRD security being iron-clad.
- SenorBudd, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2He will if he ships the DVDs via boat near Somalia's coast.
- Anand999, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2After having seen both of them, I would have to agree that Wall-E was the better movie. I watched TDK again recently and it just wasn't as interesting or engaging the second time around. Wall-E, on the other hand, kept getting better on the 2nd or 3rd viewing.
- vivvivtzz, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2Anna Faris was smoking hot in the House Bunny..with all her augmentations.
- matt.rubin, on 12/01/2008, -0/+2its the ***** Catalina wine mixer
- fzammetti, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1The fact that there are people on this planet that voluntarily want to watch The House Bunny disturbs me in ways I cannot explain. And don't tell me its because Anna Faris is hot... she WAS hot, she's mildly attractive these days, but you know what, that's an argument that doesn't matter because even a top-notch babe can't make an absolute turd of a movie watchable.
(No, I haven't seen it. I won't, I'll sooner pluck my eyes out with a spoon. And no, this doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I don't have to see the stinking turd in the next bathroom stall to know how nasty it is!) - solidus636, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1Lucky mother *****. Verizon FioS really needs to come to more apartment buildings...
- Qumahlin, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1Actually is easier to click movies then sort by seeders :)
- ThatNuttyPeej, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1...and I'm gonna give it to him.
- mleh, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1ESiR's release is 14gb for the 1080p version, not 16gb.
- Zippo, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1Problem is that a lot of movies these days are packaged in an MKV format... and while MKV is great, my PS3 won't play it.
And re-encoding that something big is a huge pain the ass. And when you want to retain quality, you want avoid re-encoding it anyways. - superjamie, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1Wow, I haven't seen one of these, haven't even heard of most.
And I'm burying for inaccuracy. Easily the most pirated movies on BT are porn and animu. - antdude, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1How about the best movies from binary newsgroups?
- GarrettGrimsley, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1I do that just to get my ratio up.
- bdbElysian, on 12/08/2008, -0/+1Never watched The Dark Knight in theaters. I watched a good quality pirated copy at a buddies house.
Absolutely fantastic movie IMO and it's earned my money. I'll have a wide screen DVD as soon as I have all my Christmas shopping for everyone else. - Qumahlin, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1Exactly. The only reason "House Bunny" is on there is because its a new release. You would also be amazed at the amount of people who download the latest releases purely just to seed them.
- SenorBudd, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1I *****' loved that movie.
- Darkspam004, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1That's funny, billboard for our one-handed brothers.
- solidus636, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1If you want a quick way to convert HD movies with the MKV container, use the application called GoTSent.
1 or 2 hours, your file is converted to MP4, and works flawlessly on a PS3. I've done is numerous times with Iron Man, 300, and a bunch of other movies and they've all looked great on my PS3. -
