- chaos7, on 05/30/2008, -5/+43i'm the only one who voted for about:blank with over 5,000 votes???
- Hangly, on 05/30/2008, -2/+29Wow, I'm the only one who voted for about:blank?
Edit:
Wait... something's screwy with this poll. - chainsmoke, on 05/30/2008, -4/+30http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
Gives you a random wikipedia article.
Mod your mind. - mojorrison, on 05/30/2008, -2/+17Same here... at first I thought iGoogle was kind of gimmicky but the more I use it the more I'm addicted. It's just too easy to customize.
- silentforest, on 05/30/2008, -0/+13Weird, I thought the same thing when I voted about:blank, but there's still only 1 vote.
Rigged poll? - RogueMountie, on 05/30/2008, -4/+17www.google.com
duh - WoollyMittens, on 05/30/2008, -0/+11They don't accept votes for the most practical option, it seems.
- stinkipete, on 05/30/2008, -2/+13keep him at +1 diggs to show just how little we care.
- CrushThemTorg, on 05/30/2008, -1/+11Rick Roll'd every time. Brutal.
- flxfxp, on 05/30/2008, -2/+12I have Rick Astley as my home page :)
- m4rcosx, on 05/30/2008, -0/+9Obviously Netvibes! It has all you need to instantly reach all kind of information, from email, feed rss, all the Google service, Hotmail, and Social Network. A unique place for all your daily web activities.
- spanglegluppet, on 05/30/2008, -0/+8I just have Firefox open the same pages I had open before I closed it. My actual start pages are popurls in one tab and iGoogle in the other.
- Fixthemedia, on 05/30/2008, -0/+8I voted for it too and it still says 1 vote. Sorry dude.
- beingdevious, on 05/30/2008, -0/+7count me in ++
- ortucis, on 05/30/2008, -0/+7"Continue from last time" on Opera.
- lilmoder, on 05/30/2008, -0/+7"Speed Dial" in Opera! :)
- ruzmutuz, on 05/30/2008, -0/+7Yeah same i thought i was special untill i checked the digg comments. But about:blank ftw!
- yahoofrom, on 05/30/2008, -1/+8please don't torture your browser
- Slade605, on 05/30/2008, -0/+7That could turn out bad in my household.
- lamiaconfitor, on 05/30/2008, -0/+7Hypocrites, everyone on the planet is addicted to sex. Anyone who says otherwise is lying! the only reason any of us are online is because we aren't having sex!
- Culyt, on 05/30/2008, -0/+6Agreed, about:blank as my start page and reader.google.com as my homepage.
- TJacques, on 05/30/2008, -1/+7My start page is the last page I had open before closing the browser.
- whiteeagle131, on 05/30/2008, -0/+5+1 for speed dial because its almost the same as about:blank (doesn't load pages) and it gives you quick acess to any favorite site very fast, you could type 1 in the adress bar to open the first speed dial (works in Opera and Firefox - with the extension too).
- bl4k3r, on 05/30/2008, -0/+5I love Speed Dial, but alas, I prefer Firefox over Opera!
- azbmr, on 05/30/2008, -0/+5They make MyYahoo sound like a copy of these others, but I've been using MyYahoo since it was built and when iGoogle first came on the scene, I didn't start using it because I already had a homepage that did everything that iGoogle did (and at the time, a bit more). Within MyYahoo, I have two pages: the main one has feeds that change often (daily/hourly) and the secondary one has feeds that I check once a week.
I only share this because that article made MyYahoo sounds like it was a crappy copy of iGoogle and it isn't.
Most of us are happy with what we have because our homepages suit our needs, and I'm a big fan of "use what works for you." - Dracusis, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4same here, I think the about:blank vote is broken
- Dracusis, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4I use iGoogle a lot, but generally when I bring up a web page I'm wanting to search something and by far the fastest way is to us about:blank. It loads instantly and starts the cursor in the address bar, so you're just a "g " URL away from the reason you opened the browser in the first place with zero waiting time.
Edit: I just voted and saw the results, and I was stunned, I'm the *only* person using about:blank? Freaky, I thought lots more people would have realised how much faster it is to start with a blank page and the cursor in the address bar by now, especially with Firefox 3's advanced address bar stuff.
Edit 2: Never mind, seems the about:blank vote is broken, lots of peeps saying they're the only one that voted it below. - DaveMN, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4I'm hooked on Netvibes. I do like what I've seen of iGoogle, but there's too much wasted space on the top of the page for my liking.
- noliberalbull, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4google reader for me... I like iGoogle alright, but I spend most of my time at Reader anyway, so I just start there.
- nerditup, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4iGoogle as the start page and about:blank as a new tab opens. Its perfect.
- Weaselboy, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4Buttkisser. :-}
- Minarchian, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4Screw all the fancy graphics. I just want links to my favorite RSS feeds: http://www.dailyrotation.com/
- inactive, on 05/30/2008, -1/+4First vote for it :D
I feel special. - WoollyMittens, on 05/30/2008, -3/+6May I suggest about:blank ?
- quirkie, on 05/30/2008, -0/+3I tried My Yahoo, but after I started using iGoogle I never changed my start page again, although I have to admit Google reader + the Digg widget really distract me from work. There is always a new link to click on.
- Seth024, on 05/30/2008, -1/+4Seems cool at first:

Not anymore - insomniacal, on 05/30/2008, -2/+5Blank page! Why sit there waiting for a browser frozen until a website opens?
You can start typing or clicking elsewhere in the meantime, but you wouldn't believe how many people I see who think they have to wait for the whole startpage to load before they can begin surfing where they really want to go. - unitedstatians, on 05/30/2008, -0/+3Your ideal start-up page it's like Speed dial or Fast dial, without installing addition browser plug-ins.
http://favoritepage.net/ - Tigah, on 05/30/2008, -0/+3I use Speed Dial like crazy. I only go to nine webpages, usually, so it makes it quick and easy to get 'round the web.
Pimpin'. - plastiqmanb, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2LOL 1 vote for about:blank
- lamiaconfitor, on 05/30/2008, -1/+3RTFA
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/481 ... - Zippo, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2iGoogle or about:blank... the only choices for me.
- dofkex, on 05/30/2008, -1/+3with D&G theme!

Never gonna give you up?

Never gonna run around and desert you?
Never gonna make you cry?
Never gonna say goodbye?
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you? - inactive, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2about:blank
because I really have no need to see a site everytime my browser starts up. I'll decide what and when I want to see something, thank you very much. ;) - richalot, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2Surprised no one has mentioned my.live.com. It' like iGoogle or myYahoo, except I find the multiple tabs can really help keep your content organized. I know it's Microsoft so that will automatically rule it out in most people's books, but it's really worth checking out.
- gutistg, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2I feel cheated.
- iguanapunk, on 05/30/2008, -0/+2Odd that 4Chan wasn't mentioned.
