- Bricks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+27The blog of the future will have killer racing stripes, and come with a sweet ninja
- Phocion55, on 10/10/2007, -0/+20We need to bring back < marquee > tags, in-line MIDI playback, and "under construction" animated gifs.
Kevin and Alex: please take note. - eltrev, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I have never understood why Scoble's brain turds get floated to the top of the internets so often. He has nothing to say.
- fuzzmeister, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I think it has been long enough since "Web 1.0" to have a retro movement.
- merreborn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Idiots rarely do.
- bawpcwpn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4"he wants some flash "coverflow", another thing that is here today"
How the hell would you incorporate coverflow effectively into a blog? - subscriber, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The blog of the future will have something interesting to say.
- EXreaction, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Somebody must feel like an idiot.
- civperc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Scoble, nothing good comes from Calacanis; I thought you would be as painfully aware of that as the rest of us are.
- beercosoftware, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Scoble's out to lunch for sure. He's a silicon valley charity case as far as I'm concerned. A good guy, but in the wrong profession. I do LOVE his word press template.
I used it on my blog too. http://www.beercosoftware.com/blog/
It's so simple, and yet, so simple. I think after all I like his word press template far more than what he actually writes. Take it easy on him, he's doing the best he can. (I think?) He *was* really good being Bill Gates's sidekick. Perhaps he should try being some other rich guy's sidekick/blogger now? - RagnerD, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2What amazing ideas! I can't believe no one has thought of this before. Soundcrank has flash coverflow that you can put on your blog. http://www.soundcrank.com/widget.aspx
Hmmmm, now if someone does the ninjas and racing stripes he'd be set. - beercosoftware, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Honestly, I don't think it's his fault. Lots of print journalists are just as or way more wrong than Robert usually is, and they don't get any of this. Robert should just hang up the blog and work for a magazine where people can't easily criticize him. Problem solved. As for Channel9, it's just a website. Look at http://www.fedoraforum.org
or
http://ubuntuforums.org/
Just as good if not better, and run with 1/10000th of the budget that MS poured into their community server clone. If you consider the monetary resources Microsoft put into that site, they really didn't do much. At least Scoble is no longer a mindless drone connected to the hive now. He's free! And better off for it. - mrfoos2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yes. And I expected them to pull the mask off of this Mahalo guy right before he can kill Google and find out it's really Bill Gates - the creepy old janitor who was hiding in the computer room.
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1dugg for calling gates a creepy old janitor
likely not true
but funny none the less - jthomp3120, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2.midi and .gif still rule today!

Is Scoble shorting Google Stock? why just run your mouth if you can get rich?... If your not really smart to predict things then write articles and get attention. Being popular takes the edge off of not being smart enough to cash in.
- Jeffler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thats it, I'm freezing my DSL Modem and Router, until Web 3.0 and Blog of the Future fail and we have a retro movement.

- Konstantinopol, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0The blog of the future will have something interesting to say.
- karipatila, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0During his days on Channel9 I always thought he had something great going on, but, as it turned out, it was actually the Channel9 itself that was remarkable.
- bightchee, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Did anyone else initially read "Scoble" as "Scooby", too?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0ummmmmm...interesting
- MikeMulligan, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1I can't stand blogs. Hopefully they're not a part of the future interwebs.
