Save and Backup Websites with HTTrack

makeuseof.com — HTTrack is simple to use although it can become a little tricky when the default settings won ’t work. In the first window after starting the program you click ‘next’ to actually open a project. You can simply type into the project name and category fields. In this example I’m backing up the Science frontpage of Digg.

  • jggube, on 07/25/2008, -1/+3Interesting application, but I think backing up your own websites by ftp'ing to your server is much better than remotely backing up your website. This is great if you want the static version of a website that's not your own or somehow you can't get access to your files directly.
