Although removing a file may be against what the fellas at the bay are all about, this is not challenging the rights of movie studios to make a profit, but it challenges the right of the young person being exploited to have a life with out mental regret or anguish.

- jchillerup, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I guess most everybody agrees on the fact that child pornography is indeed not art. However, depicting nude children, isn't necessarily pornography. The thing is, they're just nude. Would you scream and shout about the naked children running around on the beach? No, of course not. It's not pornography, it's just naked children.
Jock Sturges' intent is of course to provoke the viewer. I think most people who see those pictures think 'Hmm, should I be ashamed to think this is fine art?' And that's exactly my point. No you shouldn't. Jock Sturges' photography is indeed very fine art and it touches a subject no one has ever dared touch.
I haven't downloaded the torrent, and I intend not to. But it is said in the comments that the children are dressed. I find that more disturbing than just naked children, and this is why: Dressing small children in lingerie and such, and making them pose in 'pornographic' ways (while still dressed (in lingerie)) will spoil the child. Photographing a child in the nude doesn't spoil it in any way since that's how they look naturally.

Torrent sites don't trade any content themselves. People who seed the torrents do.
Images do not abuse anybody, except if you consider the cost of privacy, and it is clear from the posts that this is not the issue for most people here.
There was no reason posted that there is any child pornography images in the torrent.

What isn't fine with me is if any mental or physical harm has been done to said children. If that happens (and I'm of the opinion any sort of sexual exploitation is harmful to children. ANY) then I cannot support Pirate Bay even though I love them so. TorrentSpy and IsoHunt (down right now) are enough for me and soon I'll get into Demonoid (can't wait).
Pirating music/movies/software (digital culture) to me is not immoral simply from the fact that today only those that can afford it are privy to view. meaning those that are on a budget or simply to poor to purchase are left out while culture keeps running into the future. Unfair and demeaning to the less well-off. "If your gonna charge me to learn I will find a way to do so for FREE"
