- rm999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I keep my upload at 10-20 kbps and usually get anywhere from 100-500 kbps down (depending on the torrent obviously)
- m00nmaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Also, to add, I think you mean 100-300 kilobits upload speed, not kilobytes.
Meaning 12 to ~38 kilobytes. - Akia, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3"You should set the “global max upload speed” 100-300KB/s, so that you can spend most of your connection bandwidth on downloading, and not uploading. However, the bit torrent protocol requires you to upload, so you should not set this less than 100 KB/s unless you’re on a very slow connection."
There's an actual plug-in for this function. It pings a certain server and adjusts the upload speed automatically. Also, it's inaccurate to say set the max upload speed at xKB/s since not everyone is using the same connection. The general rule for setting the upload is around 80% of your max upload speed.
