iPIG is commercial solution which creates encrypted tunnel between you and iPIG's servers. That means your connection is secure only up to these servers which are completely under the control of one single company. Can we trust them?
Hamachi is closed-source application and we don't know how much and what exactly is being logged on mediation servers, also its claimed security cannot be independently reviewed. Additionally it's still beta software with unknown number of bugs in security. And there are bugs, otherwise they wouldn't call it beta. However I still think Hamachi is secure enough for private usage and can be also used easily for secure internet access (if you trust Hamachi). I'm trying to setup vpn right now using just windows xp. i can connect but i cant see the resources on the inside. so any help would be appreciated.
