- Speakerboxxx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0linux box, who says Linux is the number 2 OS?
- socket, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Usage statistic genius.
- Skitals, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Im also gonna have to digg this because they have my 360hacker.net podcast without me submitting it.
- linuxbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well I will check back when they have support for Linux. You would think since Linux is the #2 operating system people would support it. :/
- techjunkie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome
- bentoman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It was pretty cool that they pulled mine off of enjoyableshow.blogspot.com without me even having to submit it.
- boredmerlin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This site is awsome. Incredibly easy to use and damn, the subscribe thing is so cool, i am going to pee my pants.
- mreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0First impressions, eh. The installer for the "syncr" sucks. I suppose it's nice for the less savvy out there though. I have no idea where this app installed itself to. I clicked the setting button in the syncrand it opened a web page.
I'm with linuxbox here. How can they not support linux? (yes linux) I don't care if there is 3 billion different distro's out there. So far it seems everything is web based, so it can't be that hard.
I'm still going to try it out. Odeo is lucky GTA San Andreas was released for the PC , or I wouldn't have even tried them. - jefflundberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think I like this better than a client-only based solution. Great digg!
- NickelSax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1As Linux is not an OS but a grouping of many OSes, it can not be the #2 OS. It might be the #2 type of OS, but not the #2 OS. In Other words you have your Linux OSes, your MS-DOS OSes, your MS-DOS with Windows GUI (95-ME), Windows NT (NT,2000,XP).... Then you Hav your speffic OSes, OSX, Windows XP, Mandriva, Ubuntu.... To take hundreds of OSes of a family, in various markets and add them up to say they are the #2 OScollectivly is rediculus. Family of Oses overall, maybe. But when you start looking at specfic OSes, um, I don't think any Linux OSes is anywhere near that ranking, more likely Windows XP, followed by eithe Windows 2000, or by one of the MS-DOS w/ Windows (95-ME) OSes, then OSX, some other windows and MAx OSes, then start getting to the linux, on the desk top side of things. On the server side you will have your various unix, linux, windows servers compeating a bit more for rank postion
- elusive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0NickelSax: you don't know what you're talking about.
Linux -- the kernel -- is an operating system. - PacoBell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^har har a-hyuk!^
- LeetusJHaxor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You know, Odeo is milk's favorite cookie.
- streetblader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0^who cares?!
- elusive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0The usage statistics don't take into account the number of desktop users. All OSX users are desktop users and a large percentage of linux installations are servers. There are also other issues. (Not one unified toolkit to work with, multiple distros, GPL issues, etc).
So I think it's safe to say OSX is the #2 desktop operating system.
