  • emag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Pity it's just the Windows version. For the longest time, the Mac OSX version was the red-headed stepchild of Skype clients. Now, it looks like it's the Linux version. I can't say I'm surprised with the current levels of support for various OSes, but it annoys me to no end, being a paying customer, and having long-standing bugs being ignored on their alternate OS versions release after release, especially when those are the clients I use.

    Oh well, maybe with eBay purchasing them, the other clients will be brought up to parity. Hahahahaha, I kill me.

One problem I noticed though, if both people in a conversation start laughing loud enough, or talking, or yelling, or whatever... if they both are loud enough: the conversation just stops working. The call doesn't get dropped, but it doesn't work either way. You have to disconnect and connect again. Very nice quality other than that.
  • kyote, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0spazkake: I use it, and it's getting more popular with people i work with because of the voip. plus, skype is a damn memory hog, abuses port:80 like a $2 ho, and a list of other complaints that i'm sure everyone has heard or doesn't give a rat's butt about hearing.

  • Tsuroerusu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why don't those guys update the freaking Linux client, IMHO it's way behind the Windows version. One of the values of Skype is that it's cross platform, but why don't the programmers never take it seriously!!!
