- mvent2, on 12/25/2008, -0/+23It will never come to iPhone as long as Apple keeps their ridiculous control in their licence. S60 and WinMo is already underway.
- heresy_fnord, on 12/25/2008, -3/+22Come on Mozilla, lets see a Windows Mobile version!
- badqat, on 12/25/2008, -0/+18All S60 devices, all BB, all WinMo...and even on the non-smartphones as well.
- badqat, on 12/25/2008, -0/+16I'd say it won't be appearing in the app store...
- etx313, on 12/25/2008, -0/+13Fennec on Android would give me an explosive nerdgasm.
- dolske, on 12/25/2008, -0/+11Great, an expert! As you already know, Mozilla and Fennec are open source. And since you're already familiar with the difficulties of building and deploying software for mobile devices, it's fantastic that you've found an easy solution. Will you be submitting a patch to implement this by the end of the week, or will you need a few extra days?
- mvent2, on 12/25/2008, -3/+12Not possible. Apple's iphone sdk licence forbids other browsers.
- drwiz, on 12/25/2008, -2/+9Have been waiting for this
- seldon452, on 12/25/2008, -0/+6Give them time. It is in a SECOND ALPHA and already it is showing great promise. I doubt it will be coming to every phone. In the mean time saying "Oh god I hope this comes to (insert phone or phone OS here)" won't change anything.
- blakestah, on 12/25/2008, -2/+8And this matters to those who jailbreak their iPhones?
- lmcculley, on 12/25/2008, -1/+7Call me when Fennec works with Android. Or, anything other than a Nokia N810, for that matter.
- briLo, on 12/25/2008, -2/+7Let me get this straight. The EU and DOJ considered prepackaging Internet Explorer within Windows to be monopolistic, but simply not allowing any other Browsers on a device is just fine.
Who's dick is Steve sucking?? - worbd, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4I find Skyfire to be rather slow when zooming and panning around.
And I don't trust the company. Where are they making money? Nowhere, as far as I can tell. Even Opera isn't making money yet off of Opera Mini, apparently, due to bandwidth issues. Imagine the bandwidth costs of Skyfire for the company!
No, there's something fishy going on here. Either it will be a paid service or they are doing something they don't want to tell us about. - BxBoy, on 12/25/2008, -0/+4BB Curve, plz.
- hordak, on 12/25/2008, -1/+4Nokia tablets rock. No dissing them, schwit! ;)
- heresy_fnord, on 12/25/2008, -1/+4And windows mobile...
- tinkafoo, on 12/25/2008, -1/+4Windows Mobile? No??
dammit. - Murdats, on 12/25/2008, -2/+4finally mozilla picks back up in the mobile browser game
- Ademan, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2I tried out the linux build of it, holy crap is that thing slow... But like other people have been saying, it's only a second alpha.
- zhenya80, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2Sweet, we need to get this on G1
- adriaaan, on 12/25/2008, -1/+3That doesn't mean a port wont show up for jailbroken devices ;)
- OutrightLie, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1@briLo... I tried to Digg you twice.
- bravestdawg, on 12/25/2008, -1/+1Hopefully someone will make it possible to use on iphones......jailbroken of course.
- 7aji, on 12/26/2008, -0/+0you asked for it!
/sigh - inactive, on 12/25/2008, -2/+1B, b.
- doshindude, on 12/25/2008, -5/+2That would be awesome if this could come to the LG Voyager.
- iamdegenatron, on 12/26/2008, -4/+1Forget all these browsers, try Skyfire for S60/WinMo. It can do flash natively, like youtube and hulu. Haven't looked back at S60 native browsers, Opera mini, or Fennec since I found Skyfire
- Mudbeast, on 12/25/2008, -7/+3Useless with no way to install to my windows mobile phone. PLEASE MAKE AN INSTALLER FOR ACTUAL PHONES. It can't be that hard, guys. THANKS
- schwit, on 12/25/2008, -12/+7It only works on a Nokia tablet? What a waste of an opportunity for serious testing. They should make it work on the Blackberry and iPhone.
- DomZy, on 12/25/2008, -7/+2Nice to see this evolving, would like an iPhone version when it becomes more stable/usable. I'm sure the hackers out there will find a way ;-)
- mrkmrk, on 12/25/2008, -7/+1CHOO CHOO
SEEMS LIKE THE RELEVANCY TRAIN HAS PASSED UP YOUR COMMENT - inactive, on 12/24/2008, -15/+6I really hope the final version gets released on the iphone... no more safari!
- MrViklund, on 12/25/2008, -15/+3DiGG me DOWN!
