- spacerobot, on 10/10/2008, -7/+74I thought the digg description said "piracy mode". I'm a little disappointed.
- pldgnoauthority, on 10/10/2008, -4/+33sweet i really needed PORN MODE *ahem* Im sorry Privacy Mode
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -2/+27Unless you are watching tranny group sex, you...as a man...should be proud of your porn history and flaunt the teen facials as much as possible.
- RobotBuddha, on 10/10/2008, -3/+19Awesome, I'm really looking forward to 3.1 getting out. The JIT compilation for javascript finally seems to be really stable and it seems to be doing a pretty good job of speeding things up in real world situations, compared to only benchmarks.
- Murdats, on 10/10/2008, -2/+17have you submitted a bug report? otherwise how do you expect them to fix it outside your vague description on digg?
- univerio, on 10/10/2008, -2/+12Goddammit there is no "shipping" if you don't actually send out physical copies!
- motang, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6Have you tried Camino, if so does that work better than Firefox on Mac?
- fr34k5h0w, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6Yes, but you lose out on extensions.
- webcrumb, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6So you mean you didn't get that parcel of electricity I sent?
- a0me, on 10/10/2008, -0/+5Camino is so behind in terms of features it's not funny (I stopped using Camino when Firefox 3 came out but I doubt Camino has been updated since).
- Fergy, on 10/10/2008, -0/+5I have digg comments troubles also but if it only happens on digg maybe it is digg?
- Fergy, on 10/10/2008, -0/+5Rough like what? I don't use a Mac but Mac-support was increased tremendously for 3.0.
- Protoss, on 10/10/2008, -1/+5Can't wait for the final. I'm using the nightlies right now, and love the Awesomebar tweaks.
- Fergy, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4Almost all the news reporters think that Privacy Mode is the new killer feature of modern browsers. If Mozilla wants those people to think that they are not behind on Chrome and Safari then Firefox has to have a Privacy Mode too.
- brotherfranciz, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3"Privacy mode, address bar changes to come later, but Beta 1 slated to ship next week"
Shipped? Through the tubes? - inactive, on 10/10/2008, -6/+9Please improve Mac support.
Firefox for Mac is seriously rough around the edges. - brotherfranciz, on 10/10/2008, -1/+4That would be epic: Safari comes up with a porn mode so Firefox counters with a piracy mode...
- shawnanigans, on 10/10/2008, -1/+4How about releasing memory? I have been using Chrome and it's so fast. Just lacking a lot of features like proper RSS support and search bar.
- Tenoq, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3Yeah, Digg still has issues. Enabling the new Java engine in the Minefield nightlies doesn't help either - although it runs faster, there's also a very high possibility Digg will crash it. Repeatedly.
- counterplex, on 10/10/2008, -3/+6Oh it's on! Chrome, you better watch your back :)
- RobotBuddha, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3I have to admit, chrome has really impressed me. It's actually faster on my eee than 3.0.x firefox on my main box. Really though, as long as someone's using something besides IE at this point I think everyone wins.
- Fergy, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3Have you ever tried a new profile to see if it still happens? Try Portable Firefox it can run separate from your installed Firefox.
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -1/+4Then there's the problem where, after posting a couple comments on Digg, Firefox CPU usage goes up to about 100 percent. You know the trouble has started when your comment doesn't appear.
Oh yeah, and the bouncing comment box at the bottom of the screen is really fun too. - Fergy, on 10/10/2008, -1/+3Fix your computer, stop complaining.
- a0me, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2"the ability to drag a tab to the desktop to open a new browsing window."
Thank you!! - tuxerware, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2How about releasing memory? Done! The current 3.1 builds consumes less memory then both chrome and IE8. The thing is in chrome each tab is in it's own process, that consumes more memory then just keeping each tab in it's own thread.
- ElBeh, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Stealther is a good addon that can take care of that. I dunno why Mozilla is so fussed about making it built-in, and not just add Stealther to the "recommend addons" list.
- Knowltey, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Ever heard of a TCP/IP "packet"?
- Scaryclouds, on 10/10/2008, -1/+3You don't have to kill the app, just kill the tab.
- drgmdp, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2well if he is then there is stealther
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/130 ... - Relikh, on 10/10/2008, -1/+3Are you kidding me? Chromefox sounds SO much cooler.
- maninalift, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1I hope that "working in" features from plugins means keeping separated as plugins but just shipping them in a standard install. It would be a shame to compromise FFs modularity.
- MrJagil, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1DR... Features not in list form.
/sarcasm - Fergy, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Firefox 3.0 brought us the first rendering engine update since Firefox 1.5(2005) and the awesomebar. Firefox 3.1 brings us updates and improvements to features already in 3.0 and faster rendering + javascript.
Firefox 3.1 will only be a major release to heavy web users that use a lot of heavy javascript, tags and the awesomebar. You also get new web technologies that Mozilla and Safari have made. - inactive, on 10/10/2008, -3/+4Will the annoying "this application is still running" error still continue? Tired of having to force quit it via task manager every time I goto reopen it.
- Knowltey, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1I like the graphically updated Ctrl+Tab best
- HonoredMule, on 10/10/2008, -2/+3Woah, minus ten diggs with one line?
- slythfox, on 10/10/2008, -1/+21. 3.1 is quite a major update. Forget that the version number is increased by .1, it's an arbitrary number anyway.
2. The browser is overhyped for the wrong reasons. - Swarmie, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1It's not a word.
- Knowltey, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1I second that
- bretkuhns, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Isn't that why god invented commas and periods?
- CarzorStelatis, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1And yet people still use it over Safari. Suddenly I understand why Safari on Windows is as woeful as it is - and it's not because of the "lost in translation" issues that iTunes has :P
- juliohm, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1I always get my Firefox at the post office.
- hawksfan03, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1What?
- Knowltey, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1worksforme
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -2/+3When we have "clear private data on shutdown" checked, that means ON SHUTDOWN. So stop presenting the "clear private data" dialog box ON STARTUP, Firefox!
- tehWyman, on 08/19/2009, -0/+1Usually if you wait an extra three seconds it will work fine.
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Digg does not have signatures for a reason.

What is Digg?
