- Ascendant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As a developer, to work around this, you need to create an external .js file which will document.write() the tags to invoke the flash for you, and just have your page link to that. Not very difficult but pretty retarded that developers have to do this.
- chrishill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1that 'fix' has been around for a while, I know because it means changing the way you embed flash content in a webpage unless you want ugly 'click here to blah blah' alt attributes all over your site. sucks major ass.
- Merlinox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I create a custom tag, based on Macromedia's solution.
It call js script, call function to show flash object, insert noscript code for noScript user.
You can download it here:

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Does firefox run embedded activeX controls?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If your web page contains lots of controls, as some do - even with "the fix" the load times are a drastic problem.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Microsoft had better fix this. SUN indemnifies you (and have a record, witness the Kodak lawsuit) if you use thier tools. They are going the way of Tom Cruise crazy with this one. They are big enough that they can suffer mistakes like http://blog.tallsails.com/2006/01/30/where-msft-jumped-onto-the-couch-with-oprah.aspx.
I think thier biggest success lays ahead with dynamics - but they are a little off base with thier product direction
