- wheelsee, on 02/12/2008, -0/+16I want to clarify something....my feelings of anger are not against the MacHeist Guys(who have nothing to do with this other than including them in their excellent bundle) but YazSoft and their shady practices...
Digg Up for Clarification! - indyhouse, on 02/12/2008, -1/+8I dugg up your comments because I am in agreement that its YazSoft that is misbehaving, not MacHeist. :)
- automachete, on 02/12/2008, -0/+5It appears that John Casasanta, the MacHeist director, is on the case; he wants to remedy the situation with purchasers as soon as possible. It appears he's rather pissed off about it, too: Yazsoft's agreement WAS IN FACT that the licenses that MacHeist users purchased were identical to real licenses in every way; as if they were purchased outside of MacHeist during the sale. http://tinyurl.com/2eocy6
- stickyboot, on 02/13/2008, -0/+4This is what went through their heads:
"We'll sell some mac shareware that is old and out of date in this bundle called mac heist before we release our updated new one! Then well charge 15 more dollars!"
Not a good way to get customers YazSoft. I will never purchase any product of yours again. - SilentStrider, on 02/13/2008, -0/+2Pretty scummy sales tactics to provide updates to only *some* of the people who purchased in their grace period. Especially since the vast majority of those who purchased between Jan 1 - Feb 12 were MacHeist buyers.
- maxtor555, on 02/12/2008, -1/+2Agreed. Highly illegal and disreputable sales tactics by Yazsoft. More Diggs here:
