Is Novosibirsk the furthest we can go? - ramilehti, on 12/08/2008, -0/+1http://tinyurl.com/569eps
28,496 km – about 59 days 10 hours - RustedGod, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It's possible to go a lot further. 61% further in fact, if you don't take the highways. From Unalaska, AK, USA to Borzya, Chita Oblast, Russia (Борзя, Чити́нская о́бласть, Росси́я).

That's 24996 km (15532 mi) and a trip of 42 days and 4 hours. Oddly enough, Google doesn't know the way from Unalaska to Borzya unless you ask for reverse directions. Think it's about the furthest you can go, despite there being roads on the map leading to other cities that are even further away (nearer, rather) than Unalaska. - TechVW, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0It appears that Google removed the swim across the ocean, but a commenter found a route to Brazil.
So, now you can go from Unalaska, AK to Boa Vista, Roraima which is 15,082 mi – about 56 days 2 hours!
