- ChromaVita, on 10/11/2007, -11/+42Classic book hack: Fold down the upper corner of the page that you are currently on, to create an instant bookmark!!
- affanjam, on 10/11/2007, -4/+26Is everything gonna be considered a hack now...
- philpill, on 10/11/2007, -3/+22you could just use a bookmark
... heathen - Akronos, on 10/11/2007, -3/+22Yes. Here's a digg posting hack. If you want everyone to see your posts, reply to the first post even if your comment has no relevance to it.
- bobcrotch, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Dude consider the source, everything they post from installing an application to reading books is considered a 'hack'
- UtahApocalyse, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12I need to find a "get a girlfriend hack"
- IRoaChI, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14you get bonus %50 diggs if word HACK / HACKS / HACKED in title
- BlackStar77, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12I'm going to bury any News story which uses the word 'hack' incorrectly.
- DeathBorn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Book...hacks? What's next, hacking a sheet of paper to create a paper airplane?
- smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8i just use post-it notes. kinda a waste of paper, but i always have a stack of them on my desk for writing down reminders and what-not.
seriously, post-its notes are the greatest invention of the last century. - diaverde238, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7I wish there was a hack to get rid of that annoying snorg girl. It can't be that hard to find a hot t-shirt model.
- jackhole, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7When this site first started getting heavily dugg, I thought I would get eventually used to their cutesy perversion of the word "hack." Now its 100 diggs later, and I still find it pisses me the hell off. They've even turned "lifehacking" into a ***** verb.
I figure an article about books is the best place to air my complaints. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4my contribution: search amazon for small excerpts from the book you're interested in, then plug keyword phrases with quotes in google and get a full copy of a ripped e-book!
- hiPpymIck, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4this one isnt there - myspace/facebook for book lovers

(theres a pretty long list of books added in last 24hrs) - smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5diaverde: it's called Adblock. and it's not a hack, it's common knowledge.
- HillerMylife, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3I'm a big fan of BookMooch, myself. It's similar to Paperback Swap.
- BoomShake007, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Some interesting ideas in the article. I know some folks who don't live near libraries or aren't free during open ours, so they use this book rental website. I think it's this one: http://www.bookswim.com . Anyway, they rent books and have them delivered like gamefly or netflix. It seems pretty good deal if you're an avid reader
- luvs2spooge, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Shelfari ( http://www.shelfari.com/ ) seems more like myspace/facebook than that site.
I mean in terms of social networking, not in terms of how retarded the people are. - javaroast, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Agreed. If I could double bury any story that has lifehacker in it I would be set
- jubilee123, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5is anyone else getting tired of things being "hacked" ?
these aren't hacks, they're tips - MikePricee, on 03/06/2009, -0/+1Very classic book http://www.unlockcomputers.com/
- zip000, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I've been working on cataloging my collection on Librarything...I'm about half way done...I'm sure no one cares. (but I think it's awfully nifty).

...makes me think a bit of Slashdot v Digg - franksands, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I liked the idea of the invisible book shelf...now I have a use for that huge calculus book :P
- UmmoSirius, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Lifehacker has pretty consistently failed to impress me. And how did they get MacGuyver confused with Heloise? If it's how to disarm an alarm system with a gum-wrapper, that's MacGuyver. If it's how to avoid "popsicle drippage," it's Heloise.
- stoppedcode12, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3Note to 'lifehacker' readers: If you need a hack to be productive, you've got problems my friend.
- diggomaniac, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRBIVRwvUeE
- vikramkr, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1WHAT THE ***** IS UP WITH DIGG AND HACKING?!?!?!!!!!11111
- michaelinnotts, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Lifehacker has changed so much in the past couple of years...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2Hack is a cool word, and book is a cool word. Who blames someone for putting them together?
- braintrip, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2AffanJam... It could be the fact that the ***** website is called lifehacker. You fricking winner. It's kind of the theme of the site.
