- wheresmclean, on 08/30/2008, -10/+40But mac's dont crash...I mean no BSOD...they dont have problems!
- PullingTeeth, on 08/31/2008, -2/+28Seriously, crash report programs CAN crash. Get over it.
- inactive, on 08/31/2008, -11/+32Steve Jobs would like you to continue to rub his nuts and eat his *****.
- mphree, on 08/30/2008, -3/+23Oh jesus ***** christ... why does it always turn into an OS argument? It's a funny error, regardless of the OS.
- josepablos, on 08/30/2008, -1/+20Relaunch the Launch

i have a Pre-Problem (G.C) - Strongo, on 08/31/2008, -1/+19I don't get it..and I don't care

- wontstoptalking, on 08/31/2008, -1/+14It is? When does the funny happen?
- D3koy, on 08/31/2008, -0/+9Seriously guys? Any application can crash, regardless of what it's supposed to do...
- scottgr, on 08/31/2008, -5/+14Good. Thats exactly how it should be. You're not comparing like for like there, I'm afraid the comparison means nothing. Thats like saying "I've had my Ford engine stall 1000x more than my Lexus engine bursts into flames".
If you want to make a meaningful statement compare BSODs with Kernel Panics and separately compare application crashes with application crashes.
My guess would be you get BSODs much more than kernel panics, and very roughly a comparable number of application crashes, but thats only a guess. - insinuate, on 08/31/2008, -1/+9Incorrect.
- Pandatot, on 08/31/2008, -0/+8So the crash tool crashed. But I'm confused, how did the OH SHI-
- quomen, on 08/31/2008, -13/+20I've had an application failure/crash on my mac 1000x more than i've gotten a bsod on my PC.
- dojonz, on 08/31/2008, -0/+7True, I've had 'drwatson.exe' crash before.
- xrmb, on 08/31/2008, -0/+7I don't think you can compare this message to a BSOD, this is more like a regular application crash under windows, and they probably happen as much as they do on MAC. And it has nothing to do with MacOS or Windows, its the apps, not the OS.
And if you think now I like apple... now way, my stupid mini mac always connects to weakest available wlan... I hate that! At least windows on the same box knows how to do it... So no OS is perfect, I learned that lesson by using them all. - xrmb, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6I got a few gray screens of death... kernel panic or crap like this. it definitely looks less frightening.
- consoneo, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6I'm with you... I'm guessing that the MDCrashReportTool is the one that's supposed to display that error.. but if you don't use a Mac... nevermind. I'm with you, I don't care.
- tikal2k, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6I digg this comment and bury this article.
- wontstoptalking, on 08/31/2008, -1/+6Hi. I'm a Windows user.

- chron, on 08/31/2008, -0/+4Yep. Macs crash.
PCs crash. I've used both in work situations.
Both are good -- and bad.
It all comes down to what you want to do and what software will help you do it.
Find that, then find the hardware that runs that software.
Why would you care what hardware you use, as long as it's reliable?
As for OS's, I think it's a matter of what you first used or got used to. More of a style thing, regardless of the multitude of stats proving one point or another in the "who's better" wars.
If one OS was arguably, provably better than another, wouldn't that be all over the press?
But it's not. Only each manufacturer's claims (called marketing).
I like and use Macs.
I have nothing against PCs, and have recently thought of buying an HP laptop.
Surely I'm not the only one that thinks they (Mac and Windows and Linux) can co-exist. There really are better things to fight over than OS's.... - inactive, on 08/30/2008, -4/+8fanboy

- inactive, on 08/31/2008, -1/+4What I love is the redundancy of the buttons:
Click "Relaunch" to relaunch the crash reporter.
Click "Report" to relaunch the error reporter. - feanix, on 08/31/2008, -1/+4Me too. Perhaps I should spout endless, hyperobolic lies about the failinns of Macs. Because Apple would never do that to PC users.
- roessnakhan, on 08/31/2008, -0/+3Its a problem with jailbroken iPhones. This happens everytime I sync mine with my computer.
- inactive, on 08/31/2008, -1/+4I haven't had a blue screen since Windows 95.....that's like what ten years. I have had Windows 95, then Windows NT and Windows 2000 then XP Pro. Maybe I had a blue screen with NT....can't remember ever having one but just maybe and that was more than eight years ago.
- djsim, on 08/31/2008, -1/+4And what year do you live in?
- rugabug, on 08/31/2008, -1/+3He is thinking of how Safari allows you to hide the fact that you have been on porn sites.
- joe28753, on 08/31/2008, -0/+2yes you can. if you're connected to a buddy's screen, and he's connected to yours, then you'll see a loop of death.
- insinuate, on 08/31/2008, -2/+4because Porn looks AWFUL on Windows and Linux.
- Dev23, on 08/31/2008, -1/+3That's what you get if you're too dumb to take care of it smartass.

If you want Safari, you can get that for Windows now. (Even if you don't want it.) - LanceUppercut, on 08/31/2008, -1/+3clear all private data on exit from firefox. next!

Oh can't I? - zszaiss, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1Yeah... is the incorrect part that the dialog happened in the first place? Totally not interesting. Is the grammar the issue? Still, pretty lame. But from now on I'm going to take pictures of every error and digg them if that's all it takes to make the homepage. Boo.
- inactive, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1Ya, Firefox rocks. I can hide the porn with the tabs!
- Dev23, on 08/31/2008, -1/+2It would be a shame if nobody would !
- yikiad, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1this happens every time i sync my iphone...
- wontstoptalking, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1Perhaps you do not understand that you do not need to post the same comment twice for it to be buried?
- quomen, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1I've had an application failure/crash on my mac 3x more than I've gotten one on my PC. Remember this is just my personal experience. I'm not a fanboy or anything of that sort.
- slickwatson, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1SCIENCE!
