- Aero1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17darn, took me 31.6 seconds :(
- cozinator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6It's pretty useful for someone who isn't proficient in Javascript (and there are plenty of bloggers and amateur webmasters like this).
- JeremyBanks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6It might take 30 seconds, but it's pretty boring. Just inserting a random map of a specific location with Wikimapia overlays isn't much use, you can do much more useful things with the official API, and it's fast to setup as well.
- jacksav, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4You can turn off Wikimapia overlays in menu
- drpatter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I've been a huge fan of Wikimapia for some time now. Thanks for bringing it back to the front page. I see a large amount of new stuff being added all the time in my area. I hope that Wikimapia really catches on. It has a huge potential.
- op12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I haven't used it, but it looks like this is what you want: http://www.gvisit.com/
- troydoogle7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I prefer to use http://bluweb.com/us/chouser/gmapez/start.html
as it is nearly as quick to add, however you can add in dynamic tagging, locators and even maps using any web programming language. - dlgtho, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3try clicking on "Powered by Google".
maps.google.com is rendered in this small frame. clumsy. - tizz66, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't care about adding maps to blogs, but thanks for leading me to Wikimapia, which I hadn't heard of before now. Looks like a great site, I've been adding places near me, I'll add more later.
- Daniel591992, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1thanks a lot :)

- tappytibbins, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2For a great backgrounder on how Google works on the back-end check out this story:

- pezholio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice! It may not be as flexible as the Google API, but it's handy if you're writing a blog entry and want to put a quick map up
- drumt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Did anyone notice the article says: "How to add a Google Map to any web page or blog in 30 seconds." But the actual article is Wikimapia and not a Google map. Hmm...somehow, not the same.
- betseyjohnson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I win , 29.99 seconds :D
- lavanya505, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks for the Link.. I never saw a map showing Indian small villages, towns in detail.
this is pretty good. thank you very much - zanzaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0op12, thanks for the http://www.gvisit.com/ link
I was looking for that kind of stuff someday, will give it a try for sure on my website - insomniac8400, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Site seems to be moderated by idiots. They allow a walmart to be tagged, but I did another business and it disappeared. Seems pointless if your not going to identify everything. I even added a haunted house, which I assume would fall under places people like to go, and that disappeared.
- digital1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This map builder site has a cool interface, loads slow but works great.

- Nocturnalis, on 10/12/2007, -18/+2I just added this to my blog :D

This is sweet.
