How to Manually Update Eset NOD32 Offline

aalaap.com — Here's only one problem with NOD32 that makes people still consider Symantec Norton AntiVirus over it: you can't simply download virus definition update files from the web and update your NOD32 locally on a PC with no internet connection.   • jeanrapidshare, on 04/23/2009, -0/+0I created an application which installs/updates ESET definitions in a directory of your choice (might also be a removable media). Once the installation has completed, user simply needs specify that directory as the update source within the ESET configuration panel, then update the product.

    Updates are published daily at around 17.00 CET under the name "ESET Offline Cumulative Updater xxxx" at http://jeanrapidshare.blogspot.com (about 35 MB). Download links are Rapidshare.

    The latest available update is ESET Offline Cumulative Updater 4027 dated 22-04-2009. Get it at http://jeanrapidshare.blogspot.com/2009/04/eset-of ...

    The definitions will update <b>NOD32 & ESET Smart Security 3.0.x / 4.0.x - (32 & 64-bit)</b>
  • Whi5t1eR, on 03/14/2009, -0/+0Forget downloading the latest files only... use NOD32 Offline Update, this is NOT just the update files on there own, its a small program that will install them as well!. It will find your %SystemDrive% and create a folder, put the latest virus def’s in it (clean old Def’s if required) then change the update server in the registry to the correct folder; (no more manually setting up server) so all you have to do is click “update” in NOD32

  • Whi5t1eR, on 05/25/2009, -0/+0NOD32 v3.0 & v4.0 Offline Update will find your %SystemDrive% and create the correct folder, put the latest virus def’s and module files in it (delete older files if present) then change the update server details in the registry; (no manually setting up server) so all you have to do is click “update” in NOD32. And it’s portable so no need to install…
    Run it from a CD, USB stick, DVD, Local drive, USB drive and more

    open Eset or Nod32 window-
    Press F5 -
    go to update -
    at update server click edit-
    write " C:\updates "
    click add
    press ok
    now go to main windows
    select update
    click update virus signeture data base
