  • nunofgs, on 12/08/2008, -1/+2I still love NewsGator/NetNewsWire. It's the only service that allows me to read my news on my Windows machine, MacBook and iPhone, all with native applications and changes will sync to my online newsgator account. All for free.
  • OneLess, on 12/08/2008, -2/+3I was just thinking about this after I went to use Google Reader after reading this article- wouldn't it be nice if Chrome was able to take you directly to Google apps from the address bar? So for example you type Google Reader into the address bar and it goes straight to Google Reader instead of googling "Google Reader". Same thing for Google Calendar, Gmail, etc.

    I dunno, just a random thought.

  • Jordan117, on 12/09/2008, -0/+1If you really want to make Reader awesome, use the Google Reader Preview userscript for Greasemonkey. It let's you view the full HTML page within each item -- for instance, I'm typing this comment within Google Reader right now. It makes reading your items a lot easier.

    Such a strong title to a very week author..."I’m currently subscribed to 222 blogs and have read 3,427 items in the last 30 days." Wow you managed to read a a solid 15 items a day...WOW you are a ROCKSTAR!! That's like the whole first and second page of a newspaper

    I am subscribed to 47 in my personal account, with 12,236 items in the past 30 days, and 37 feeds in my professional account, with about 7,127 items in the past 30 days. (That's 260 personal and 192 professional - daily.)

    I must be like a rock star vampire killing Jesus then!
